Carter's sizing

Anyone familiar with Carters sizing?

Our little girl was due November 8th but arrived fashionably early on October 15th. Today I realized I should get her an Halloween costume so I am ordering a Carter's lady bug outfit. She weighed 7lbs 4oz last Wednesday afternoon and will not be weighed again until Friday. I am planning on ordering the costume in Newborn size but was wondering if maybe she may have outgrown it.

It runs big IMO. DS is just fitting into some of his newborn Carter's stuff at 10lbs...

I find Carter's sizing to be dead-on. I'm not sure what the NB weight runs to. Halloween is only a few days away so you'll probably be safe w/that.

I think Carter's run a little big in my experience. I remember dd wearing the nb Carter's stuff up to about 10 ish lbs. I think you'll be okay with the nb size.

I have found Carters to be pretty true to size. I would prob. go with newborn for her.

newborn should still fit her. ds weighed 8lbs when born and he wore the Carter nb sizes until about 6-8 weeks.

Carter's runs big. DD was in Carters NB until she was at least 11lbs....about 6wks old. She was born 8lb2oz.

Your DD is adorable! I would definitely order NB size. I think Carter's runs pretty true to size, but can be a little bit long in the arms and legs.

DS is almost 9lbs and can still wear NB. 0-3 mos are still big on him.

It's been true to size for DD. I like them the best. The onesies are the softest in my opinion.

i wouldn't say carter's runs big...i think it is more like long. i have a long and lean baby and the carter's stuff is the best because it is nice and long in the crotch but the legs aren't so doggone wide.

that being said, he is wearing 6 months with no problem in cater's and is 3.5 months. so, in my experience carter's is running a tad on the small side, but is more true to size than most brands i've used.
