TTC After a Loss 6 Months+

Better news today and need a BD plan

Today I got better news at the RE.  E2 is 254.  I have two follies on the left, one at 15, the other at 18.  Nothing on the right.  I will trigger tomorrow.  I'm suppose to start pro. on Sat and take it for two week.  She said to call in on Feb 21st if AF hasn't showed for a pg test.  She is f'ing crazy if she thinks I'm going to wait that long to test.

Questions:  What should our BD plan look like?  We are TI, not IUI.  The trigger should be gone by 8 days past taking it right?

Re: Better news today and need a BD plan

  • I'm glad you got better news! My first month, the trigger was still showing a faint, faint positive at 8 DPO. As for BD, I would say every day after trigger for 3 days or so.

  • That is better news! I want to say my trigger has shown up as many as 9 dpo. As for BD FF usually shows that I O'd about 24 hours after the trigger. I've read anywhere from 24-48 hours after trigger is O and since unwashed sperm can live for awhile, I'd say tonight, tomorrow, Thursday and maybe Friday if you have it in you. Good luck!
  • Fantastic follie news!!  No advice on timing, but so much good luck to you!

  • That's good news about the follies! I don't have much advice about the sexing, but I tested the trigger until it was really faint at 7 or so dpiui, and then I didn't test again until day 15.

    Good luck!

  • that's good about the 2 follies.

i'd BD the night of trigger and the next 3-4 days after it.

My trigger never went away (bfp) so i can't give you any advice on that.  it was still dark on 8dpT, i didn't test on 9dpT but did test on 10dpT and that was the lightest day.

  • My trigger still showed up very faintly at 9 dp trigger.   With the trigger you won't O until around 36 hours after.  I guess I don't see much point in having sex the night of the trigger.  I would rather the night after - at like 24 hours past and then again the next night at around 48 hours past.  Maybe tonight if you want to get things "fresh" so to speak - they say you don't want sperm more than a couple of days old.

    Good luck!!!!!

  • Looking good!   I never did TI, but my IUI's were 36 hours after trigger.  I never tested out my trigger and I always regretted it around 7-8dpo when I was starting to get antsy.  It could last as long as 10 days I think.  GOOD LUCK!

  • I'm glad you got better news. I still had a faint line from my trigger shot after 11 days. It really messed with my head. Good luck!

  • yay! They just needed a little time!

My RE always recommended TI: night of trigger, then 36 hours or so after trigger, 24 hours later and again 48 hours after that.

    good luck!

  • I honestly don't know about the trigger/timing thing but wanted to say good luck and I've got everything crossed for you.

As far as when the trigger is out of the system, 8 days should be fine. I'd start testing around day 6ish and just test the trigger out and continue testing every day... but I'm wasteful and would rather see a false BFN that make myself batty wondering if there's a chance I could see a PREGNANT yet.

  • I'm so excited that your follies smartened up!! No advice either on timing - I dont think it's a huge issue unless your DH has sperm issues (stays alive for about 72 hrs on average I think)

I say, get to it, have an every day/ every other day kinda thing going :) Good luck sweets!
