Why do you need a nickname? Why not just call her Regina?
Ugh, sorry for the multiple posts as I attempt to respond to this question...
I am of course aware that I don't need a nickname. I don't use a nickname myself, and I'm actually not a big nickname person in general. I am just hesitant to choose a name when I actively dislike all of the nicknames for it. It seems kind of risky, if that makes sense.
But more than that, Regina is a family name--it's my mom's name and her grandmother's name, and so it feels really familiar to me...it's hard for me to not just immediately think of my mom when I hear the name. That's why I was hoping to find a nickname that I like. (Alternatively, I'll just call my daughter by her middle name, or make Regina her middle name. But I'm trying to figure out all of my options.)
Anyway, thanks to everyone for all of the ideas! You guys are awfully good at this.
