All of these are on our registry, but I went ahead and got them. If someone buys for us, I'll return and use the credit toward something else. Amount in parenthesis is the price at BRU / Diapers.com where we registered.
Summer Infant Video Monitor $113 ($179)
Sleep Sheep $18 ($25)
Rainforest Bouncer $35 ($60)
Jacques the Peacock $10 ($13)
Re: Awesome deals on Amazon right now!
Thats a good idea. I have wanted to buy somethings that are on my registry because I saw them on sale. I think I like your plan better, way better than hoping it goes on sale again after my showers.
Yeah, we have a few bigger ticket items on our registry and I don't expect to receive them all. So if someone happens to buy us, say, the monitor, I'll just return it to BRU and use the $ toward a breast pump or car seat. Or diapers, if all else fails!
That's only on Subscribe & Save (for diapers and such).
Wow. That made me feel really bad for registering for a $69.99 Baby Einstein gym that's selling for only $53 on Amazon. I would rather put a note on the Babies R Us registry directing people to buy it off Amazon or just buy it myself and take it off the registry.
How do you get the 15% off. I signed up for an account and have been looking at a few things but didn't see anything about the 15%?!
That's just for diapers
hope you get gift receipts if you get duplicates. right after my shower, in 2007, BRU changed their return policy and you needed a receipt to return, regardless if it was on your registry.
edit: why don't you just take it off your registry?

Make sure you check with BRU about their return policy. I haven't been going there a lot in the past two years and was surprised at how much they had changed their return policy from when I had my DD in 2007.

Also, it's possible the gift givers will use a coupon or buy the item from BRU on sale, thereby making the return on your investment minimal.
I returned several items back to BRU without receipts back in the Spring 2009 with DS. I hadn't heard they changed their return policy.
In fact, for my showers most people forgot or didn't include gift receipts, but had clearly purchased things from my registry and it was noted in their BRU system...

This is what I did for our swing! I put a note, telling people that it was $50 cheaper on Amazon.com and my mom bought it from Amazon instead!
