I'm getting so sick of the "are you having twins" questions. Really, trust me, there's only one. I'm 5'2" and 120 lbs pre-pg and have gained 6 lbs. This is my first baby. I recognize that I grew big-time about 2 weeks back but my doctor isn't concerned so I'm not either. I theorize that I just look big b/c of my small size (including my super-short torso). This is my last pic, taken @ 17 wks

Should I be that freaked out??
Re: Irritated w/"twins" questions
Ugh, I guess we can't win!
SouthSide, are you small-framed as well?
I have to say, I got big overnight but really haven't changed since then (in the past couple weeks). I am sure I should just chalk it up to people being stupid but it's tough.
I was that big at 17 weeks. People were telling me i was already ready to blow. I wouldnt worry about peoples comments. everyone grows at a different rate and if your doctor isnt worried, you shouldnt be either.
Hope things get better!
People are so intrusive!! You look ADORABLE and perfectly normal. I wouldn't think you are that large. You ARE a tiny person...the baby has to go somewhere!
Tell people that if they don't have anything nice to say, then don't say anything at all.
Or pat THEIR (non-pregnant) belly and say "No, why, are you??"
I'm almost 19 weeks and lost 15 pounds total from pre-pregnancy and get this same question now. My doc isn't concerned and so neither am I.
I swear people just need to learn how to think BEFORE speaking.
Honestly with my first pregnancy I was pissed because no one believed I was pregnant. I really didn't start showing until I was 7 months along....and even then people didn't believe I was that far along.
I get asked alot by family though if its twins...but only because they run in the family and we're due for a set. So far each has been a single!
First of all, you look great.
Second of all, I am having twins and so people then ask "Are you sure it's not triplets?" That is not a cute thing to say. Sometimes I don't even tell strangers it's twins. Seriously, I'm not that big. And you certainly aren't either!
You're fine, everyone carries different.
I'm pregnant with twins and I'm not showing yet!! I have kind of a beer-belly, but definitely no bump like you. I'm about 5'3 and was 150 lbs pre-pregnancy weight.
I'm worried because I feel like I should be a lot bigger, but I keep listening to their heartbeats with a doppler, and things were fine at my 12w scan.
