Has anyone had an ultrasound between 5 and 6 weeks?

We had an ultrasound on Monday. We were 5 weeks 5 days but they said we were dating only about 5 weeks 2 or 3 days. I had a gestational sack and yolk sack but no fetal pole yet. Just wondering what yours showed at that point

I went in a little over 5 weeks for my 1st sono and could only see the gestational sac as well as a VERY faint yolk sac that I couldn't even see..but apparently was there. I followed up by going 2 weeks later and we saw baby and recorded baby's heart at 160 bpm. Congrats!

I saw the same-and worried for the next two weeks! Turns out, in two weeks I had jumped ahead to 8w 6d, and baby had a hb of 170!

I had one yesterday and there was a sac and a baby that measured 2mm - very, very tiny.

Thanks ladies. We weren't supposed to go in until late next week but something popped up and we needed to go in. When the US tech was writing her notes she noted to 'check back in 7-10 days to check for dating and viability' so I didn't know if it wasn't looking good or what. I wish now I would have asked a few more questions but I know it's still early anyways.

I had one last week where I was dated at 6w5d. We got to see the heart beating at 145bmp. I always have questions that I wished I asked, too (Frustrating!)... even when I write stuff down! I wouldn't be worried, though!

I did with my first pregnancy due to lots of right sided pain (they wanted to rule out ectopic). They saw the exact same thing as you listed. I went back a week later for a follow up and there was a nice strong heartbeat.

I had one around the same time & measured smaller (4 or 5 days I think). I was anxious, but even though my ovulation date was 100% certain, the doc and nurses weren't worried at all. They explained that with no fetal pole present, they could only date by gestational sac- which is significantly less accurate. 2 weeks later, baby measured right on track to the day & had a hb of 170bpm.

I had an US at 5 weeks 1 day due to some bleeding. My US only had a 8 mm gestational sac. I went the following week for a follow-up and was measuring 6 weeks 2 days, and we were able to see the heartbeat.

I was unsure of my dates, so I went in and they measured me at 5 weeks 3 days. All they saw at that point was an empty gestational sac--no yolk sac or fetal pole. Went back exactly one week later, and saw the bean & heard the heartbeat. Baby measured at 7 weeks, which is a more accurate measurement than the gestational sac.

Hi! I went in yesterday and the regular trans-vaginal u/s barely showed anything, just some faint specs. The OB said she couldn't say if there was or wasn't a baby. So they sent me down to a diagnostic imaging center downstairs, where they have more intense machinery. With this other machine, they could easily see the yolk sac and even a tiny heart beat. It was very relieving and exciting. From these better images they determined I was 5 weeks and 6 days along. Good luck at your next appointment!

I went at 5w4d and saw exactly what you saw. I went back today and they readjusted to 7w2d (3 days earlier than originally estimated) and I saw the yolk sac, fetal pole, beating heart and the very beginning of the forming placenta. Be patient... it sounds like you're right on schedule!

I just had u/s a week ago and was told I was 5wk3 or 4 days and I had just a sac also, pretty much a black blob with A white spot! My dr scheduled another u/s for the 8th so he could see/measure the fetal pole, i should be 7.5 wks at that time! Can't wait to hear the heart beat!
