if you are not BF, is your period regular and on track now?

mine came back a few months ago but so far has not been regular at all. i started exercising recently so maybe thats also throwing it off. does anything you do help it be regular? maybe tea or anything?

  • No - stupid Depo shot.

I still haven't had one in over a year.

  • It has not come back yet. I have had one period in the last 2 1/2 years. When it came back with my first (one time, I got pregnant the next time), I can tell you it was not going to be regular, about 6 weeks apart for Ovulation.
  • Before DD, my periods were regular. After she was born I took the pill for a couple months, and have since stopped (I was having mid-cycle bleeding). I haven't had a period since stopping the pill, but I'm hoping that my cycles go back to the way they were before I had Ella.
  • I have Paraguard so it's the same time in between every month, but relatively close. I just let my body adjust my period...I wasn't worried about getting pregnant. It was much heavier and painful the first few months it came back, but now it feels more "normal"
  • I just called my OB today about this! Started NuvaRing in Oct. and haven't had a period yet. Stupid question of the day: can you get pregnant again without having a period? I would kinda like to have another baby at some point...
  • I have had about 3 since I stopped Breast feeding. The last one just started to come about 28 days after the last one.  Before that, they were coming late and driving me nuts!  However, they seem a lot more heavier and painful! :(
  • I'm on my 3rd since quitting BFing. On the nuva ring, (love it) my first 2 came with zero warning and only lasted for 3 days, where before pregnant, they were close to 8 days. But I started Sunday, and still going. I'm guessing that its going back to long ones again. Boooo!!!!  Again, I had no 'warning' I was starting which I don't like.

Not having a period right now doesn't mean you won't ever have a period, so assuming you are preventign with the Nuvaring, you're fine.

But, if you were not on the ring, yes, in theory you can get pregnant without ever having a period. You can ovulate and get pregnant and never see a real period. It's not all that common, I don't think, but that's why EBFers who think that's enough protection end up with a surprise #2.

  • I FF from the start, and got my first PP period after eight weeks (four weeks after PP bleeding).  It has been very regular ever since, but I know that isn't the norm for most people...
