What time do you put LO to bed and what time does LO wake?

Are you doing any middle of the night feedings? Are you trying to eliminate any feedings?

Re: What time do you put LO to bed and what time does LO wake?

  • C goes to bed at 7:30 and usually wakes at 5:30.

She eliminated her middle of the night feeding on her own. If she does wake, and refuses the paci, we give her a bottle.

  • She is done by about 6:15 and goes to bed around then. She stays in bed until about 4, then I feed her and put her back until 6 or 7.
  • Bed about 7:30 or 8, wakes up about 6:30.  Usually still one feeding around 3-4am.

  • The dude goes to bed about 8 or 9. Sometimes he wakes up for a feeding anywhere from 3 to 5 a.m. or sometimes he sleeps straight through until 7 or 7:30 a.m.

  • Goes to bed around 9p, then awakes around 630a...she may wake up at night but only for her paci, if she refuses and gets really ticked off, means she's hungry, but we haven't had to give her a middle of the night feeding in about 3-4 weeks. :)

  • The guys go down between 6-7pm and stay in their cribs until 6-7am. They're still eating twice a night though around 11pm and 3am. Sucks. I feel like I still have newborns. They eat all.the.time still but both are huge!

  • 7-7:30 and she wakes all night long. There is one feeding in there...  She is usually up for the day around 7:00.

Not to pull a one-upper.. but my giant goes to bed around 9 and is up around 9 (at least that's what happened last night) and he was up at 1130, 1, 3, 5 and 7 and wanted food EACH TIME. Nothing else shut him up. I'm going crazy. And I also stay awake fretting about "He's eating way too much, he's going to make himself sick, I'll never sleep for more than 2 hours".

  • DS goes to bed around 7pm, wakes around 4ish to eat, and then wakes up for good around 7am.

I let DS do his own thing.  Until recently, he was waking 2 or 3 times to nurse.  He just now eliminated those feedings on his own.  I don't mind getting up with him.

  • T is not a good napper so she usually goes to bed at 6pm and wakes up at 6pm. That is if she doesn't wake up to party at 2am.

  • DD has been going to bed from 11 pm until 7 am since she was two months old. For the past three days, she's been down from 10 - 8.
  • 12 midnight til 11 or 12 noon.

I'd feed her any time she woke up if it had been 3+ hours.... until I realized she wasn't taking a full feeding so she didn't really need it. If she fell right back to sleep when I gave her the paci then I knew she wasn't hungry and just wanted to suck.

Recently the paci ended up being more of a problem because she'd wake up for it every hour, so we quit cold turkey. Now she wakes up once a night.. maybe twice.

  • My DS goes to bed between 6-6:30 and wakes up between 6-7am. He still gets up between 2-4 times a night to eat. My DH will try to rock him back to sleep if it has been very soon and sometimes it works. We just got him to put himself back to sleep after feedings a few weeks ago, so I actually feel amazing right now. I think around 6 months I will try to start getting him down to only 2 feedings a night.

  • My little guy doesn't go down as early as everyone else... my husband isn't home before 9 most nights so even though we have pajamas on and all by then he is up, last bottle at 11pm  and is usually asleep no later than 12... sleeps until 7:30 or 8 am.  He is eating every 3 hours like clockwork through the day ( usually 5 oz w/ 2 tsp of oatmeal ( for reflux).  Today at his 5pm bottle he ate 7oz.!

  • She goes down at 10, usually wakes up at 7ish when SO is getting up, but then goes right back to bed without eating, it's weird. Then she wakes up at 11ish for the day. Usually she wakes up around 3am for a feeding and goes right back to bed.

  • Bedtime starts between 6pm and 7:00pm. She's out by 7:30pm at the latest. Up for good at 6:30am and has 1 or 2 feedings overnight. Usually when she breaks out of the swaddle (hate the swaddle but can't sleep without it and our sleep suit isn't here yet!)

  • He goes to bed at about 9-9:30 and sleeps until 7:30.  No wake-ups.
  • Asleep by 7:30, eats around 3 or 4am, and up for the day between 7 and 7:30.  He dropped all his other night feedings on his own, so I'm just waiting it out for him to drop this last one.

  • She goes down at 9pm and normally wakes up at 9am for the day.  But she also wakes up anywhere between 3-8 hours in the middle of the night to eat.  It really depends.  Some nights she goes 9-5 with no issues and then 5-9.  Other nights she's up every 3 hours to eat.

We will do night feedings until either a) she stops waking up to eat or b) I stop nursing which should be around a year.

I stressed so much about when my first DD should STTN and I wish I had not.  She started STTN around a year with no sleep training at all.  And she eventually dropped her night feeding on her own.

  • He goes down between 6-7 and is up for the day at 8. He wakes up to eat around 2 and again at 5. Not trying to eliminate any feedings yet.
  • Millie goes to bed around 8:30 and usually wakes up about 7 with no night feedings. She'll usually take a nap after for another hour or two.

  • In bed by 9:30 up by 9. If she wakes at night it's only for her pacifier, she hasn't had night feedings since she was 4 months old. Sometimes she sleeps all night, sometimes she's up 4-5 times for her pacifier.

  • My LO goes down between 8:30-9:00 and sleeps until about 7:30-8 with one feeding in the middle between 3-4:00. I will try to start eliminating the one middle of the night feeding in the next couple of weeks.

  • she's in my bed so she pretty much sleeps all night, sometimes waking around 5am for a feeding but i think it's mostly to get her back to sleep. we go to bed between 1130-12 and get up at 9-10 for a feeding and to change her diaper, then she takes another nap for about 45 minutes to an hour.

  • He goes to bed between 8-9 and wakes up between 7:30-9.

I feed him at least three times during the night. I WISH I could eliminate any of them, but as he eats at least every two hours during the day, I am actually happy when I only have to feed him that many times during the night!

  • Hartley is asleep between 7:00 - 7:30, wakes to eat at 4AM on the dot, and wakes for the morning between 6 - 7AM.  I can't wait for her to drop the 4AM feed because I have to get up between 5- 5:30AM on mornings that I work and there's not much point in going back asleep after the 4AM feeding.  4AM wake up time sucks big time.
