Stupid membrane sweeping

I had what she called "a little" sweeping done yesterday at my OB appt and ever since then I keep having more contractions then I would normally have. Not cool since they aren't timeable or anything to move things along.

There were two scenarios that my brain thought of happening from a sweep: labor or nothing and I definitely didn't expect labor from this but also didn't think it would increase my annoying contractions.

The only positive I can think of is next week Wed when we do an aggressive membrane sweeping that it may actually do something or that all these contractions will be doing something to help dilate things (if not, watch out world).

Since my 3rd membrane sweep I havent really had contractions but I have had a lot of spotting, not as much as the first aggressive sweep but it has lasted longer and I keep losing bits of my mp....hopefully it means progress. I hope your contractions are doing something!

Spotting could be a good sign though! I have read that when you dilate you can spot so hopefully the spotting means you are dilating
