The only name my husband says he likes for a girl is Mary, which is too plain for me. I really like Ella, and DH jokingly said 'what about Mary-Ella?'. At first I laughed, but the more I thought about it I kind of like Mariella. Has anyone heard of this name, or did we just make it up? Thoughts?

Mariella is a lovely name IMO. A+ on compromise and cooperation.

i hear it all the time in the latin world spelled Mariela with one L. i think its beautiful and love it with 2 L's

I'm not familiar with Mariella, but I do have a family member named Marielle (a real name).
I have known some Latin/Hispaic women named Mariela. Very pretty IMO.
