I just had my third miscarriage in a row (after having 3 successful pregnancies in the past). I will have a follow up for my d&c at 2 weeks. From there they will tell what the "plan" is for testing for recurrent pregnancy loss. I am sure they will give me some tips too. But I was hoping for tips from women who having been there on what they did to get healthy again for conceiving again. I am going to take Optivite PMT vitamins (this is recommended for those with short luteal phases, which I believe I have, and for those with bad PMS, which I also have, and I heard because it helps your fertility people get pregnant); I have Fertilitea, I was going to take that after all the testing is done and I get the ok to start trying again. I already use pre-seed moisturizer. I chart. I was thinking of maybe starting excercising (I am very skinny so I never exercise). I was using progestrone cream before I conceived (my charts showed low progestrone). I didn't have it when I conceived so I will see if the DR recommends this for prior to pregnancy. Is there other things to do to help get my body stronger? ps...I don't do yoga so that's not an option.
Re: just had mc#3 in a row...advice please!
I'm so sorry for your losses. I don't have experience in any of the things you mentioned you are already doing so I can't really offer advice but I do suggest talking to your doctor at your follow up and asking for recommendations.
Welcome to the board!
I've been paying more attention to my diet. There are several books available (as well as info online) about what foods to eat to increase your overall health and fertility. Adding exercise couldn't hurt. I would tell your doctor about the vitamins and tea that you're drinking and make sure they think it's appropriate for you. I've read some cases where ingredients found in them were actually inhibiting fertility for some.
Hopefully your m/c's were just by chance and everything goes perfectly the next time.
BFP#1: 7/23/10, EDD 4/1/11, MC/DNC 9/29/10(14wks)
BFP#2: 1/12/11 CP (6 Weeks)
BFP#3: 6/26/11, EDD 3/4/12, Natural MC 8/5/11 (10wks)
Not sure if I have any advice...hopefully your doctor will have some ideas for you since there may be an underlying medical issue that will need to be addressed.
So sorry for your losses
.
Did you have testing done on any of the three losses? How far along were they? RPL testing is a good start, but there are a lot of other things to consider also.
Are you seeing an RE? Three losses in a row after successful pregnancy is still a form of Infertility. I think it's time to seriously consider seeing a specialist if you're not already.
After my third loss I began working with an RE and found (as have the STRONG majority of women here) that working with these specialists is a world better than any OBGYN. Nothing against OBGYNs. I love mine. But this is not their specialty.
Incidentally, an RE can also help in terms of suggesting lifestyle or supplimental changes. It's not necessarily RE = IVF (which I find, occasionally is a concern).
Either way - huge hugs and I'm so sorry for your losses. I really hope you find some answers soon.

I'm so sorry for your losses.
Have you read TCOYF? I just bought the book, but I hear it includes great advice. Did you dr. recommend progesterone cream? I only ask because I've seen most women taking the suppositories or oral tablets on the bump. I am supposed to start the suppositories when we TTC again.
I'm so very sorry for your losses
