You mentioned acid reflux and projective vomiting in your previous post. Was the vomiting caused by reflux or something else? What did you do to treat those? We tried anti-acid meds but they didn't help. As for projective vomiting, I am still not sure if it was caused by a virus or reflux. Never had this with my older kids. Thanks!

Re: ***busybea***
I'm all new to this as well as N never had any eating problems, on the contrary, he was and still is an eating machine! It was really bad, they would be spitting up a few ounces each feeding, sometimes up to an hour after their feedings. They were very uncomfortable and screamed while they were spitting up/vomiting. It's gotta hurt the system when you're vomiting every 2-3hrs like that!
I tried all sorts of formulas as well as different brands and nothing got better. Spoke to my pedi and she wasn't much help, so after attenting a MoM meeting I decided to go see a pedi GI that was recommended to us. He said that although they do have a mild case of acid reflux, I was also overfeeding them (something my pedi never told me)...so I felt like a complete fool as I was still using the methods and amounts that I had used on N the previous year. The pedi GI had mentioned putting the boys on Zantac, but I wasn't too cool about putting these little guys on medicine until I've exhausted all other possible options (I'm not a drug taker and will always try the natural/homeopathic route for the kids before any drugs) Doc then introduced us to a thickener called gelmix. It's brand new, so there aren't many studies on it, but it is organic and made with carob bean gum (it's been used as a thickener in Europe for centuries). I don't intend on using it forever, in fact I have about another month or so until I'm allowed to start the boys on actual solid foods, but for now, this product has worked wonders. It has completely stopped the spitting up, the vomiting and their gassy stomachs. I'm really happy with this thickener and I really hope that when I start them on solids, that they will be able to digest that easier.
So to make a long story short, my pedi sux, I avoided medicine, they are keeping their formula down thanks to the gelmix thickener and doing much better. I know it's hard, but I wish you good luck in finding what works best for your LO.
