Twin Tuesday Check-In
Hey girls! I hadn't seen one of these yet, so I hope it's okay I posted it.
How's everyone feeling this week? I've been keeping headaches like crazy.

Are your twins identical, fraternal or do you know?
As soon as the u/s tech told us there were two, she said they were identical. I know a twin mommy on the May board and she isn't sure if hers are or not. It made me curious about what ya'lls is!

How's everyone feeling this week? I have been feeling pretty good. My energy has come back and I am not longer tired all the time. I have started getting back pain in the evening but I have always had some sort of back pain. I think it is from 15 year of gymnastics growing up. My back hates me now.
QOTW:
Are your twins identical, fraternal or do you know? We don't know if our twins are fraternal or identical. We know there are two sacs and two placentas but we probably won't know until they are born. Our twins were totally spontaneous so we think they will be identical since fraternal twins are genetic.
Oh I'm really glad you posted this - I just came on here to post it but could NOT think of a QOTW - so thank you! lol!
I'm feeling pretty good - I'm also suffering from headaches like crazy though...and my back is already killing me, I think I'm going to see a chiro. soon.
QOTW - Mine are fraternal. We know because we did IUI and I triggered 3 - 4 eggs. I'm REALLY glad I ended up with twins and not triplets....or more! lol! And they can tell through the u/s that they are di/di.
After 2 years, Injects, PCOS diagnosis and 2 IUI's, we were blessed with our beautiful twin girls!

You're welcome! I was hoping you wouldn't think I was stepping on your toes by doing it. I was bored at work! haha!
Mine are spontaneous, as well! My doctor explained that since they were sharing a gestational sac, but were in two different amniotic sacs they were called mono-di (shortened name, no clue what the long one is!) twins and they're identical.

Ours are fraternal too, but we did IVF so it's not a big surprise.
My biggest symptom this week is that I finally feel like I'm out of the first trimester! Getting some energy back and starting to feel like my old self finally.
That said, I have developed much worse acid reflux (ugh, it's just the worst!) and I've got some back pain too but I'll take those over the terrible exhaustion and nausea of the first few months.
Congrats everyone! I just read posts on here mostly but will try and post more often. For some reason my ipad doesn't let me post??? and that's what I usually use.

I'm jealous you've gained your energy back! I'm pretty much worthless right now. I've noticed my acid reflux has gotten worse, as well.

Hi girls!
I continue to have pretty good energy. Amen! My back hurts at night, though, and it was pretty rough yesterday laying on my back for that long ultrasound. Worth it, though (and I got myself a backrub for it later).

Since finding out yesterday that we are having girl/boy, they are definitely fraternal! We were pretty sure even at the first ultrasound that they were di/di, so the egg would have had to split crazy early (our first ultrasound was 4w, 5d). Plus they were spontaneous and I'm the third woman in four generations on my mom's side of the family to have twins (and the others are fraternal).
Hey ladies! This week has been much better for me. I'm feeling a bit more energized and I have my appetite back. Headaches and constipation are no fun though.
We aren't sure yet if they're identical or fraternal. Doc couldn't tell for sure from the last u/s at 8 weeks. We have our anatomy scan next Wednesday, and the days are going by so slow!
I actually am feeling FANTASTIC, my first tri really wasn't horrible but I am seriously loving second tri!
QOTW: We found out today that the babies are boy/girl, plus their sacs are very distinctly seperate, so they are most likely fraternal.
YAY! GO TEAM PURPLE! I feel the same way - second trimester has been good to me!
