TTC After a Loss

FRustration got the best of me

Ok I know I sound like a broken record, but I am so tired of cramps.  I hadn't had any for a couple of weeks then the last few days they have been really painful.  When I last called my dr I was told not to call back until after March 3rd if I haven't had AF.  Its really taking its toll on me,  I lost it tonight and started sobbing after my DH made a comment to the affect of what do you want them(Dr office) to say.  I have been fine emotionally until this past weekend, it was our first time back to church since my mc and I cried the whole way through mass.  I was so mad at myself for losing control like that.  I feel like I am stuck in the mud because I haven't seen AF yet so I feel as if there is nothing I can do.  Has anyone had this happen?

  • The first couple months after were very hard.  It's okay if you get emotional sometimes- it's healthy to work through your feelings.  Don't try to bottle it up.

As for AF, it really can take 8 weeks or longer for her to return.  Mine took ~6 weeks and I know I've seen some other ladies on here who took longer.  I know my doctor told me to call if I got to 8 weeks without AF.  Since you're only at 4 weeks I would just try to keep your mind off of it.  She'll come back, trust me.  The cramps will come and go, but I don't think you should worry too much unless the pain is severe enough for you to go to the ER.

It takes time and the first few weeks are rough even after AF returns.  Hang in there it gets better little by little.  Be patient, find some way to distract yourself and she'll be back before you know it.

  • I'm so sorry.  It is so frustrating waiting for AF to show up for the first time.  It took 8 weeks for me.  I have my FX that she shows up earlier for you.  ((HUGS))
