DH went out last night, so just me and DD for dinner. We had leftover spaghetti and she was watching me twirl my noodles and kept trying to imitate it and couldn't. It was so cute watchign her try to do it. She is slowly giving up her binky more and more - and we haven't had to have any traumtic issues with it, just telling her every day to leave it in her crib, etc. so hopefully she'll drop it on her own.
She's started getting really good playing on her own and she just chats away to Barbie or her doll or whoever - so cute.
Last night she also locked herself in teh bathroom which wasn't cute or fun - but thankfully, I remember how i got into my sisters room when she locked me out and the same trick worked!
1. The Ferber stuff went out the window when I ran out of clean sheets from DD screaming until she puked, so she is still in bed with us. (We plan to try again in another couple weeks, possibly President's day weekend, since I actually have a 4 day weekend.)
2. Teeth # 1 & 2 errupted within 48 hours of each other. (Bottom Right followed by Bottom Left) I think tooth # 3 is about to come through.
3. DD is army crawling all over the place. She can get where ever she wants. She does get up on her hands and knees and rock, but when she wants to move she gets down on her tummy. It's kind of funny.
4. DD has found 2 Stink Bugs... that we know of. Won't those things die already!!
No big milestones here either but I can AW a little...it's never hard to AW your kid..ha ha.
Ava has been talking up a storm putting many words together. The other day DH got her dressed for bed and she walked up to me and said "how do I look?" It was so darn cute.
We officially have a walker. He started taking a few steps at a time 2 weeks ago towards one of us if we were sitting on the floor...and now he will walk around the room to get to his toys, chase the dog, etc.
I also ordered his 1st birthday invitations. Where did this year go?
Happy Birthday, little man. We love you so much!
My favorite money saving tip: I've earned more than $300 in gift cards (Amazon, Starbucks, Southwest!) using SwagBucks for internet searching - and you can too!
It's FREE and EASY!
John babbles much more, and while he doesn't repeat what we say, he will "repeat" by using the same tone and inclination that we do when we say things. He is trying to say certain things, like diddy=kitty ogly=doggy, I'm "dadooo" and DH is "daeee"
He officially moved to the toddler room on Monday, snif snif. Of course they remarked how much he likes to eat, which he does. The kid has a serious appetite.
The one thing I am kind of concerned about is a well balanced diet (which I'm going to talk to the pedi about soon). He doesn't eat crap, he just doesn't really want any kind of meat or poultry. The last 3 nights dinner has been, a handful of peas or corn, a handful of sweet potato cubes and a big bowl of apple sauce. We offer him what we've been eating, chicken, pasta, ravioli (all of which he used to like) but he takes a bite and spits it back out. I'm sure he eating habits will change and it could be worse, he could only be eating crap, but I'm worried about not getting enough protien, etc from meats.
DC will get up on arms/knees and rock, but is a professional backwards crawler. Just cannot figure out how to go forward.
Another tooth popped out, but it's the 2nd tooth in on the top (no top teeth yet). I believe the other sides 2nd tooth is trying to pop through. Only my child will have side teeth before the fronts
Jabbering up a storm, squealing non stop, very active. I just cannot believe how big dc has gotten and how fast they grow up.
I don't have anything new to report! Still waiting to feel the baby move.... We have our 2nd anatomy scan next week, so I am excited to see him again. I hope he is more active this time!

Awwww!!! I love it.
Sean is jabbering up a storm, he says "SNOW!" and points outside now. We are also trying to wean him off the binky but it doesn't help that he can say binky now. He gets this sad pouty look and just whines "Bink-eeee!" until he gets it. Oh and he has started throwing his food into the potted plant in my kitchen. Took me a couple days to figure out where the smell was coming from.
Let's see... Annabelle has been running now (scaring us all), hitting her head on tables, you know the usual stuff. She has also been repeating a few words back. Now she says baby, dog, shoes. She knows what up, down, outside mean. If I ask the dogs if they have to go potty, she runs to the gate, waiting to head downstairs to take the dogs out.
Matthew has been having a language explosion lately too. I have just been amazed at the amount of new words especially since I wasn't expecting it for another month or so. He also learned a new body part - his knees. (He can already "do" mouth, eyes, ear, nose, tongue, teeth, hair, finger, hands, feet and head). We are working on thumbs but he doesn't know those yet. He also can point out somethings that are blue but doesn't do it consistently. (That one really surprised me).

I would just keep offering and not worry about it. He can get most of his vitamins from fruit/vegetables. And if he likes dairy products or hummus (or other beans) then he will have enough proteins from those. Matthew has gone through love hate relationships w/meat too. I find a lot of times it has to do w/the texture. My one "backup" is that when he gets in moods like this he will always eat my meatloaf.

It seems that DD's vocabulary has exploded overnight. She is saying so many more words and is at the point that she knows what she is saying.
Not much new with DS as he is only three weeks old today.
I am 35 weeks today with 35 days to go!! At least that's the "perfect" countdown
