Finally, the anatomy scan! Anyone having a 2nd scan?

We are having a girl, and everything looks good! But they have me coming back in 4 weeks for a 2nd anatomy scan because I have a significant amount of scar tissue in my stomach cavity causing the scans to be a bit fuzzy. The scar tissue is a result of a burst appendix in 2004 ( But, the good thing is I'll get another detailed anatomy scan...

I have to go back 4 weeks after my original too! They need to see the face and a better shot of the umbilical cord...I think the doctor wanted me to come back anyway, because they were not able to get a profile shot....lol

Yes, I have to go back at 34 weeks to get another view of my little guy's kidney. Apparently the measurement was a bit off. I'm trying not to let myself worry about it until then because my OB said it could easily turn out to be nothing.

I am glad everything looks good so far for you. I go back in for round two tomorrow. they missed one heart measurement and couldn't not determine the sex. So far, everything looks great. Hopefully, LO will be in a better mood and cooperate this time.

I just had mine today, too, and have to go back in 2 weeks for another quick peek at baby's spine.

I go back the 25th to get a look at the spine and feet. He was moving too much to get a good picture/measurement of the spine and he had his feet wedged in my bladder.

I had to go to a specialist with a better machine for better measurements the following week, and he recommended a growth scan about 26 weeks since he was measuring big (1 pound at 20 weeks)... they weren't worried, though.

I'm going back at 23.5 weeks because they couldn't get all the images of the heart that they wanted. Hopefully everything is fine- I'm excited to see the baby again!

I'm going back at 28 weeks to check baby's growth. He/she is a little peanut--only measuring in the 5th percentile--so my doctor wants to check that baby stays on track. I'm trying (and mostly failing) not to worry about it.

Congrats on your little girl. I hope everything goes well. Yes, you're lucky. I wish I had another one. I didn't want our scan to stop. I was having so much fun watching my son on the screen.

Congrats on you little girl! I'm also having a second one next week. We had the first scan at 17w3d which was an early detection anatomy scan since my last pregnancy resulted in a neural tube defect. They cleared us for everything except the heart because LO was so small.

Not a second anatomy scan, but I'll be having another scan in 6 weeks to check to see if my placenta has moved away from my cervix -- it was low anterior at my anatomy scan and blocking my cervix.

Congrats on having a little girl we are too! I went in at 17weeks 3days because I was having bleeding so they did my anatomy scan then but I am going back again next monday at 20weeks 1day to get some more actuate pictures and because they want to check the size of the blood clot behind the placenta.

I've had 3 u/s so far, including the anatomy scan. I'll have another one in four weeks to check on my placenta, it was a little low during my anatomy scan and they want to see if it's moving up.

I had mine at 20 weeks, but LO wouldn't cooperate so they couldn't get all the heart views they wanted. They saw some, but not all, so I'm having another one in a few weeks.

Congratulations on your little girl! I'm scheduled for a growth scan at 30 weeks because I had an elevated risk for Down syndrome and chose not to do the amnio. Everything looked good at the anatomy scan, but they just want to check him one more time in April.

Congrats on joining team pink! I will be going back in a few weeks for a second scan. They we unable to get a good view of the face due to the baby's position.
