I don't know when it happened, but Sprout grew teeth. We visited my parents this past weekend and for some reason my mom stuck her finger in Sprout's mouth & got quite a surprise!
They've just broken through, but I feel like a terrible mother for not knowing he was teething. I mean, he's been drooling like a dog for months, but he was never really fussy or anything else.
Also...anyone figured out yet how to get their baby to stop growing up? Between the teeth, being on the eve of crawling, eating solid food, sitting up, etc. my little baby is turning into a little boy far, FAR to fast!!! ![]()
Re: WTH? My "baby" has teeth?!?
Ha! The same thing happened to us - those suckers can pop up out of nowhere. And it's so sad when they have real teeth like KIDS, instead of little gummy, drool-y baby smiles.
Just wait until he gets a top tooth and starts grinding them together . . .

I would have never have known that DD had gotten her first tooth until I felt it. She showed no signs other than tons of drooling. We were lucky that it was like that for all her teeth. It never bothered her. I felt so bad for friends who were going through teething hell and we luckily breezed through it. I know we'll get hit with something some day where we won't be so lucky.
They do grow up so fast. I can't believe my baby is going to be 3 in March.
Way to go, Sprout!
For us, drooling had nothing to do with teething. DS drooled like a fountain from 3 months to 8 months, and when the tap finally turned off, then his first tooth popped out.
Aw, little teeth are so cute!!
Don't feel bad about not noticing! DS didn't have ANY teeth for what seemed like ages. I am pretty sure he didn't cut a single tooth until 8 months?? I thought he was going to be toothless. Then out of the blue one day I looked in his mouth and there were little white buds all over! He never drooled, never ran a fever, and was only occasionally fussy. He also had occasional diarrhea right before a new tooth would pop through. He seemed to get all of his in bunches, which worked out well.
Hope the rest of Sprout's teeth come in as silently!
I'm totally with you. Nathan started rolling consistantly, crawling backwards and popped out 2 teeth in a matter of 2 weeks!
Yes, he got both of is bottom two middle teeth (I have no idea what they are called). Upon further inspection, his top two middle teeth will probably appear soonish.
