Infertility

Moving forward with IVF

After having 7 iuis (one resulting in a miscarriage), we had our IVF consult last week. We are moving forward with IVF. It is scary, exciting, and nerve-wracking at the same time. I had my saline sono today. No cysts/polyps. yay! But, boy is it weird to have water leaking out of your who-ha all day.:)I have my mock transfer on Friday and my sono to begin Lupron next Friday.EEeeeeekkk!!! P.S. I am scared shiiitless of the PIO. OUCH! I saved the post further down the page on everyone's PIO tips. I'll definitely use that.

  • Good luck!  I know we have posted in each other's posts before, but DH and I are moving on to IVF as well after 6 IUI's, all negative.  I go in for my saline sono on Thursday, and the mock transfer 2 weeks later.  I won't be on lupron or BCP, so when my next cycle starts around the end of February I'll be starting stims.

It's nice to know someone else will be going through the same procedure(s) around the same time as me, both of us for the first time!

    Good luck with everything!

  • I know how you're feeling. Just take it one step at a time. I'm also so scared for the PIO! Good luck with everything!

We also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And HOPE does not dissappoint.

  • I hope IVF is your answer for your BFP. And PIO isn't so bad. I have used it for all my cycles. The worst part is the anticipating the shot, not the actual shot.
