Is it wrong to..

in 1st Trimester

Saturday is my nieces 5th birthday party. Its one of the few times we will see part of the family until June. Is it wrong to tell about baby #2 on her special day? We prefer to tell in person, it seems more special that way, but we can't decide if its the wrong time.

Advice please!

    If you are set on doing it, I wouldn't do it until the end of the party. Let the party be about your niece. If you tell early, it will shift the focus, and that would be incredibly selfish.

    I would ask your sister or brother how they feel about it.  I'd be pretty annoyed if my sibling announced her pregnancy at my child's birthday party, but I'm sure not everyone would feel that way.

    i agree with everyone above. ask the parents if they mind and wait until the end of the party when everything is starting to wind down a bit :)
