Reducing Cholesterol ?

I had my cholesterol checked last week and it is high.  The dr. hasn't put me on meds just said to change my diet and exercise.  I'm already exercising but was just wanting some guidelines on what to eat.  I know I can make changes in my diet, it just seems so overwhelming with the different types of cholesterol and all.  Thanks for any advice or support you can give!!

Alternatively, you could even discuss your diet plant with a dietician. Keep the exercise going and most importantly, stay stress free!
  • Cholesterol only comes from consuming animal products - meat, milk, cheese, eggs, etc. When I was doing the Vegan thing my cholesterol consumption was "0" every day. I've been a little more lax these days and while I don't eat meat, I do occasionally have dairy and fish. Limiting animal products will certainly help, eating more whole grains will also.
