name issues

We had two names picked out and a few weeks ago my husband decided he liked them but didn't love them and wanted to start over.  I still love both names, but he is determined to find another name.  I am keeping my mind open of course but...this is getting to be ridiculous.  He hasn't even come up with any other name he likes.  UGH!!!  My csection is a week away and I am getting nervous this baby will never have a name.

    Print out the names in big letters and put them on the fridge.  That's what I did and it kept our options in DH's mind.  Also, he changed his mind on what he liked most after seeing the names in print.  It helped us make a final decision.

    If it makes you feel any better, I'm in almost the exact same position.  DH decided like 3 days ago that he wasn't into the name we'd agreed on after a long struggle to come up with something.  And the worst part is that I'm really tired of talking about it.  I liked the name we had, plus there's one more name I like even more.  I'm kind of annoyed that I might have to compromise beyond those two...

    Before I started the big name decision with DH, I put the names I liked and their meanings on index cards and taped them to our wall across from our bed.  Every once in a while, I or he would decide there was a name that was totally out, at least for our first, and we'd take the index card down.  We ended up with three girl names that I loved, and I let him pick from these.

    Aww before we agreed on a name, DH was shooting down all my choices, and yet he had none to offer. Annoying!

    I hate picking names ... it seriously is the hardest thing EVER!  I'm so frustrated with it!  My all-time favorite name Alexandra didn't pass DF's suitability test 'because he knows a girl with that name and she was a b*' LOL and I simply never ever liked any other name enough to ever consider it for my child!!!  So now we have a couple of names that we kinda sorta like and we're even thinking of giving her both (even though we're not Christian and didn't want to do the two name thing initially) just because we're both so dang indecisive.  Just imagining she'll be stuck with them for the rest of her life ... it scares me!!! Maybe wait until the baby's born and then see which name - out of all that you've picked - suits her the best :)
