The nursery is coming together. I've loved seeing everyone's nursery's so thought I'd share mine. I have a few things left to do then will slowly fill it once my showers are held. I'd love to hear your thoughts.
Looking in from the hallway:
Someone posted this quote they found on etsy, so I can't take credit for it, however, I didn't want to spend $80 on etsy for it so I DIY'd for about $10. This is over the glider.
The dresser will also be changing area. The four pieces above are DIY.

I also have these that I need to put ribbon on. I'm not sure where I'm going to put them yet though.
And the best for last:
Re: Nursery Progress (Heavy PIP)
You have done an amazing job! It looks WONDERFUL!
(And I love the proud pooch, he's like "look at my new room, wasn't it nice of the humans to do this for me?")
It looks great! And I love, love, love the quote. I seriously am teary-eyed.
How did you make that?

It was somewhat of a pain but when whomever posted it and I had tears rolling down my eyes, I was determined.
Michaels sells thin wood boards for about $4. Then I painted it cream (paint from the bathroom leftover). For the text, I printed it off on a printer then used carbon paper to trace it onto the board. This was the hard part as it does smear so I cut the quote up into pieces and did row by row. Traced that row, then used acrylic paint to fill it in - then moved to the next row. Sanded the edges a bit so it wasn't so square, then I just hot glued ribbon to it.
It isn't perfect, but I'm pretty happy with out it turned out.
