CIO and standing LO

DS has decided he loves to stand so when he waked in the middle of the night he stands in his crib crying. He doesnt understand how to get down so he falls and bumps his head etc (we still have bumpers on). How do I let him CIO when hes standing and might get hurt. If I go in he crys louder.

Any tips would be great, thanks

    DD started that last week. Luckily it only took her a few days to figure out how to plop down on her butt. We couldn't really let her CIO because one day when we tried she about got hung on the rail of the crib because she slipped. So we would just go lay her down over and over and eventually she fell asleep.

    It does get so much easier when they learn to sit!

    Teach him how to get down. Preferably during the day, not at nap time.

    It was so funny trying to teach G. She would lock her knees and refuse to sit. She's a little stubborn.
