LabCorp (for the uninsured or underinsured)

Since my new insurance doesn't kick in till March, I am paying cash for everything. I have made sure to call the doctor's office before each visit to inquire as to the cost of tests, etc. 

To nobody's surprise I received my bills and they were much higher than what I was quoted. I assumed their info was good info because they actually have a LabCorp office within theirs.

Anyway, I called LabCorp and they offered me 30% off of everything! They were very nice! They also said that in the future, if you go to their building (they're national so there are locations everywhere) directly, they give 50% off for a laundry list of tests. I thought that was so awesome!

It is very nice to see a company that looks out for its customers.

    I wish I could go there!  I have to use Quest and the first time I went the lady put an uncovered needle on the counter and then tried to stick it in my arm.  She even tried to tell me it was fine when I asked her to get a sterile needle!
