Re: what did you do this weekend?

  • Friday night - JB and I had to stay late for a work even.  We were here until 8pm.  JB was a trooper. She didn't nap all day and yet she didn't fuss or have a melt down. Love my girl!

Saturday - I had a babysitter come over for a few hours so I could run some errands and get some cleaning down.  Paid all the bills and sorted coupons.  <<----dude, I'm old and boring when this is the highlight of my Saturday!

Sunday - JB and I ran some errands. Then we went to PF Chang's for lunch.  She loved her tofu, brown rice, and entertaining the nearby tables.

  • This weekend was.. I don't even know what it was!! Saturday, I was 13dpo and not feeling too hot and finally caved and took a test which resulted in the FAINTEST line possible.  Hopeful but trying to play it cool, (all I had running through my head, all day was someone's posts on here saying 'a line is a line') we waited until later that night to test again and as fast as the test line, a dark second line popped up!! YAY!!! I waited one more day (until I was officially late, yesterday) to take the digital and there is was - Pregnant.  I tried to upload it but I am a pic upload failure.

     HOLY CRAP!! I am pregnant!!

  • Congratulations!!!!

Friday night - Dinner at Red Robin

Saturday - Took the kids to their ice skating lesson, went sledding on the little hill by our house (L and I went too and were so sore that night!) We ordered pizza and hung out at home. After the kids went to bed, we watched "The Road." Holy hell, I cried for 2hrs straight. Perhaps it was PMS since L didn't drop a tear, but wow. Thankfully I went to bed at 10:00 since Carter woke up crying, coughing, and with a fever at 12am and came to sleep with us - and because of his fever none of us slept well.

Sunday we lazed around the house, Carter and I stayed home while L and Gray ran errands. Carter was still running a fever and alternated between wanting to play and feeling miserable. Aside from running out to get my eyebrows waxed I stayed home all day. By 7:30, both kids were passed out. L and I watched "The Other Man" which was ehhh. Grayson woke at 1:30 with a fever and L is starting to feel sick, so they are all home today. I am going to see if I can rummage up a script for Tamiflu since I (am supposed to) leave on Friday for Florida

     HOLY CRAP!! I am pregnant!!

    Congratulations!!!

Our weekend was pretty low key. Eli and I hung out and ran errands on Saturday because Kel ended up having to work. Eli took a 3+ hour nap in the afternoon, so I took advantage of the lazy time and read and napped too.  On Sunday we all slept in and then went to IKEA and out for sushi. I love sushi and hadn't had any since getting pregnant so it was fun to explore the impressive variety of pregnancy-safe options :) We stopped at Target on the way home and got a frozen Cheesecake Factory sampler, YUM!!!--it took a lot of will power to split a piece and stick the rest in the deep freeze.

  • Fri  Went out for Mexican and we actually got to eat some of our dinner together.  E was pretty good and ate ok.

Sat I tutored in the am then we went to run errands.  Bought a ton of stuff at bru for us and a shower gift.  We went to barnes and noble and it is our favorite place to take E now.  She can get all her walking out and spent a long time wandering up and down the aisles leaving a path of destruction.  I got a nice latte and E was tired by the end.  It was nice.  Sat night we watched the hangover not my fav type of movie but it had some funny parts.

Sunday  My parents came over for a visit and brought dinner.  It was nice to have a break.

Now I am just trying to stay motivated and get some work done here at school and figure out how this week is going to go another storm tuesday and wednesday..  This snow is killing me!

  • A and I had a quiet night on Friday while J was at work.

I did a little yard work on Saturday (A tried to help) and got in some reading.  We took A to see Tangled in the evening to reward her for her perfect attendance at school.  After the movie we went to Buffalo Wild Wings for dinner where we had the most horrible service ever.  So horrible we didn't leave a tip...

It rained yesterday so A and I stayed indoors.  I cleaned and made bread while A played with one of the cats and half watched opera on TV. Indifferent  I have an interesting child.  We had quiet time when chores were done and we each chose to read.  Once J was home I made dinner for A and I (J brought a burrito from work for herself).  We watched a couple DVR'd shows and then went to bed.

  • Jen worked all day on Saturday. I did yoga and PT and watched stupid TV while removing everything from our utility closet and piling it all up in the living room for the home inspection on Sunday. I also cleaned out our bathroom drawers and cabinet. I tried to take a nap in the afternoon but some lovely people decided to have a lengthy domestic disturbance, with screaming, while standing on the street corner right outside the bedroom. The dogs were frantic and barking up a storm. Jen got home around 6:30, I made spaghetti for dinner, and we spent the evening finishing Torchwood season one.

On Sunday we had to be out of the house by 9:00 for the inspection. I got up and did P90X and then cleaned a few last things and we loaded the dogs up and went to Jen's office. The dogs loved it there - they had a great time running on all that carpet, and nobody had any accidents. Plus, the only other person working was one of Jen's friends who loves the dogs, and she was really excited to see them. So that worked out. Jen worked for about three hours while I worked on New Zealand plans and reservations, and then we dropped the dogs off at home and went to Target, Whole Foods, and Trader Joe's. They were really crowded, of course, but everyone was oddly pleasant - it was nice. Last night we went to a small dinner party that neither of us were really in the mood for, but we ended up having a great time and staying much later than we expected.

  • Fri: Did some cleaning. I had to drop Ky off with my BIL's wife so she could take her and R (their daughter) up to MIL's house for the weekend. We sat and talked while the girls played (R is 7 vweeks older than Ky) for a bit then I got Ky's base all snapped in and off they went! Let me tell you how weird it was to go grocery shopping with NO baby! I did not even mind that one store was out of a specific item I wanted and therefor had to make a seocnd stop because I had NO baby to haul in and out of the store! I got home and finished up the cleaning and then relaxed on the couch until Ann got home. We ate pizza for dinner and she played xbox while I read until i was bedtime.

Sat: Work. The in-laws were keeping Ky another night since we were all going up there Sunday for dinner so we had another baby free night and what did we do? Eat take-out and play xbox....oh what fun people we are! Now to our defense we did have friends over to play with us and stayed up to *gasp* midnight!

Sun: We got up to the maintainence man knocking on our door. Our sink had been clogged the night before and we had been unable to clear it with the plunger. No big deal we figured buy some Draino Sunday if ti still did not clear then call Monday. Well apparently the neighbor's sink was clogged too and they did not feel like dealing with it themselves....poor maintainance man. Long story short drain got fixed and we got on our way to Ann's parents. It was a nice birthday lunch (we celebrated Gma H's, mine, and Ann's) and the girls (R and Ky) enjoyed sharing int he cake and ice cream. Ann and her brother played xbox (Are you seeing the theme yet?) while the rest of us played cards. We left and went to see Gma B who could not make it since she broke her femur a month ago and is wheelchair bound...yikes! Kylie cried until we got to the highway and then resumed crying about 15 minutes from home.....Thanks to the late nap she was up until 9:30! Anna dn I watched some tv until we called it a night around 10.
