to plan for a natural birth or medicated birth?
Following my d&c, we had 1 crazy cycle and 1 normal cycle, and then we got a BFP on 9.28.10! Baby C was born 6.10.11
Re: have you started....
to look at daycare options? we alrady have 1 in part-time daycare and will more than likely continue with that. But for DS we started looking around 4-5 months.
to schedule your birth/breastfeeding classes? never took a class but did a lot of reading. You should also talk to friends who have done this already and listen to them.
to plan your nursery out? I did that all throughout my first pregnancy---so fun! We just need to put the crib back up for #2 and clean the room out well. DS was in that room but moved to a big boy room now.
to think about baby wearing? I didn't give much thought before DS and wish I would have.
to decide on breastfeeding vs. formula vs. both options? Always good to read up and listen to all options as sometimes BFing just doesn't happen for various reasons. Invest in a good pump if you are going to return to the workplace though.
to plan for a natural birth or medicated birth? again, good to look at all options. For me this time around its VBAC vs Repeat c-section---so doing lots of research there.

Notes:
to look at daycare options? I am on the waitlist for the daycare at my workplace. I'm hoping we won't have to look beyond that since my leave is 7 months, but I know we really need to find a backup plan as well.
to schedule your birth/breastfeeding classes? yes, already scheduled, they start in March.
to plan your nursery out? yes, bought the crib and assembled it last night!
to think about baby wearing? haven't thought much about this yet
to decide on breastfeeding vs. formula vs. both options? my (hopeful) plan is to BF until 6 months.
to plan for a natural birth or medicated birth? My preference is a natural birth, only because I have pretty bad scoliosis and the thought of anything needing to be placed in my messed-up spinal area freaks me out. But if the pain totally kills me and the anesthesiologists swears they can do it, I may go for the meds...it's a game time decision. lol.
to look at daycare options? No. I will be a SAHM until we move back to MI within the next year or so.
to schedule your birth/breastfeeding classes? Yep, we scheduled them over the weekend, but they don't start until late March.
to plan your nursery out? We won't be having a dedicated "nursery" due to space, but we've ordered our crib and glider.
to think about baby wearing? I've thought about it for a minute, but that's as far as it goes.
to decide on breastfeeding vs. formula vs. both options? Yes, breastfeeding for me, and I've been reading up on it a lot.
to plan for a natural birth or medicated birth? I'm almost positive that I want the drugs.
to look at daycare options? We are fortunate that my mom has agreed to watch LO through the 1st of the year. Still need to explore options for after she's done, but at least we have a few extra months!
to schedule your birth/breastfeeding classes? I have signed up for a breastfeeding class in May. I'll also sign up for a birthing class in May, once the registration is open.
to plan your nursery out? We've bought a crib and found fabrics for the bedding. Waiting to see if we're having a boy or girl, then we'll buy the fabric so my mom can make our bedding.
to think about baby wearing? I bought a sling but haven't really "studied" this topic much yet
to decide on breastfeeding vs. formula vs. both options? I'm going to give EBF a try and am hoping it works
to plan for a natural birth or medicated birth? I've always said "epi is the only way for me!", but after doing more research, I'm leaning towards "epi if needed but we'll see how it goes"
to look at daycare options? No
to schedule your birth/breastfeeding classes? No
to plan your nursery out? Not until we find out the gender
to think about baby wearing? Baby wearing??
to decide on breastfeeding vs. formula vs. both options? Definitely going to try breastfeeding. I really hope I can do it and it works out!
to plan for a natural birth or medicated birth? I am going for the epidural, medicated!
to look at daycare options? SAHM
to schedule your birth/breastfeeding classes? I know what I want to sign up for, just haven't done it yet
to plan your nursery out? just basic color ideas
to think about baby wearing? nope, don't plan on it
to decide on breastfeeding vs. formula vs. both options? BFing and pumping if possible
to plan for a natural birth or medicated birth? keeping an open mind at this point
2 years, 2 surgeries, 2 clomid fails, 2 IUIs, 1 loss, IVF #1 - 10/25/10 = BFP!, DS is now 3.5yrs!
TTC #2 - 6/12 surgery #3, FET #1 & 1.2 = BFN, 12/2012 FET #2 = BFP! DD is 1.5 yrs!
Surprise! 12/16/14 BFP, loss #2 12/31/14
I can't wait for the "im getting a divorce" post in 5 years or so because your husbands were fed up with your disgusting chair asses from playing on the knot all day and getting fired 4-5 times for not doing any work. you guys are all winners!! ~ Laur929
to schedule your birth/breastfeeding classes? Trying to find some in my area... My hospital doesn't offer any, the bastards.
to plan your nursery out? Yeah, we know what we're doing. Now we just have to do it.
to think about baby wearing? Uh, should probably get on that.
to decide on breastfeeding vs. formula vs. both options? Breastfeeding, unless there are major unforeseen problems.
to plan for a natural birth or medicated birth? Natural, unless there are serious issues requiring intervention.
Codename Buckethead: baby blog
to look at daycare options? We don't do daycare.
to schedule your birth/breastfeeding classes? I've started my hypnobabies homestudy.
to plan your nursery out? We don't do nurseries, either.
to think about baby wearing? Already do it with DS
to decide on breastfeeding vs. formula vs. both options? nursed DS, too.
to plan for a natural birth or medicated birth? See above, but I'm open to whatever labor and delivery brings me.
to look at daycare options? no, i'm a SAHM
to schedule your birth/breastfeeding classes? probably won't be taking any since this is our second time around
to plan your nursery out? just started thinking about this, but hard to plan right now. we have 2 houses (in 2 diff states), so trying to decide what the game plan will be. probably won't be quite as big of a production as ds#1's nursery!
to think about baby wearing? not for me
to decide on breastfeeding vs. formula vs. both options? plan on bf until at least 6 months, hopefully 9. then switch over. worked well for us last time
to plan for a natural birth or medicated birth? yup
to look at daycare options? yep - and it's too darn expensive to put both in daycare, so I'm seriously considering SAH. just about to sign up DS for a coop preschool.
to schedule your birth/breastfeeding classes? scheduled both last week. BF class because it didnt' go so well last time. refresher for the birth class. also started reading Birthing From Within. interesting...
to plan your nursery out? kinda. LO will bunk with us until sleeping through night, then move into DS's room.
to think about baby wearing? used bjorn last time. will add ergo to mix this time and prob wear LO more than DS. mostly so my hands are free to get stuff done. depends on LO's temperment.
to decide on breastfeeding vs. formula vs. both options? really hope to BF as long as a year, but know from experience that it doesn't always work. i will NOT pump exclusively for 4 months again - it was an insane amt of pressure on me. unless there are medical reasons (LO allergies or something). I'll know when to call it quits this time.
to plan for a natural birth or medicated birth? trying for a more natural birth this time. reading, taking a different style class this time, talking it out more with my DH and doula. my secret wish is to birth at home by myself, but i'm too practical for that so we're going to a hospital.
to look at daycare options? DD is at a babysitters 3 days a week and MIL 2 days hoping that DD can go to babysitters 4 days a week and Lo go 4 days a week and MIL watch 1 of them 1 day and the other on a different day.
to schedule your birth/breastfeeding classes? I took classes with DD so I am not going to this time around. For me it was kind of a waste of my time.
to plan your nursery out? Nope. We know which room but we will have to do a lot of moving around because all my clothes are in there. We are going to wait on planning decor out when we find out what the gender is.
to think about baby wearing? I probably will just because I don't really want to get a double stroller. I will have DD in the stroller and wear the baby for now. I wore DD some but not a whole lot
to decide on breastfeeding vs. formula vs. both options? DD was formula fed and so will this LO.
to plan for a natural birth or medicated birth? I will be going with the epi as soon as I can get it just like I did with DD.
to look at daycare options? We are lucky that my mother and sister are willing to split watching our little man when DH and I work. We both only work three days a week so it wont be too bad.
to schedule your birth/breastfeeding classes? I won't be taking any
to plan your nursery out? Yes, we have the crib and changing table. I ordered the bedding yesterday!
to think about baby wearing? Will not be doing this.
to decide on breastfeeding vs. formula vs. both options? Bf and pump for when DH and I are both at work.
to plan for a natural birth or medicated birth? Epidural
Well this is # 2 for us so some of this is unnecessary, but...
to look at daycare options? We're going to switching from daycare to nanny, but not until the summer so haven't started yet.
to schedule your birth/breastfeeding classes? Not doing either (been pregnant bfore and I dont' "do" birth classes due to having a bad history and hearing/talking about labor and delivery is very traumatic for me)
to plan your nursery out? Nope. We don't do baby prep until after live healthy baby arrives.
to think about baby wearing? Will definitely do so. Have a Moby and ring sling from DS that we will use again, and a Bjorn for DH.
to decide on breastfeeding vs. formula vs. both options? Trying BFing but will ff if I have to. With DS we only EBF for 2 weeks due to severe supply problems so anticipating issues again but I will likely get supply aid meds immediately this time.
to plan for a natural birth or medicated birth? Def. medicated.
to look at daycare options? Not really, we already have a DCP. I am hoping to change my hours at work, and need to talk to her about that, but I'm waiting until things are set in stone at work first.
to schedule your birth/breastfeeding classes? Not taking any. Took a birth class with DS#1
to plan your nursery out? Just starting as we found out the sex less than a week ago. We hope to start setting up the nursery before March!
to think about baby wearing? Yes, I wanted to do this with DS but for various reasons it didn't happen. I'm looking to use the Moby wrap this time.
to decide on breastfeeding vs. formula vs. both options? I already know that I will try to breastfeed, if that doesn't work I'll pump.
to plan for a natural birth or medicated birth? I'll have a medicated birth just like I did with DS. It was great.
to look at daycare options? I am staying home.
to schedule your birth/breastfeeding classes? They are mostly in German here so I don't know that I will be able to find one.
to plan your nursery out? Yes, I am basically done.
to think about baby wearing? I have a moby, a woven and an Ergo.
to decide on breastfeeding vs. formula vs. both options? Breastfeeding
to plan for a natural birth or medicated birth? Natural if possible but I am not against accepting some medication if I think I need it at the time.
Wedding/Honeymoon Pictures
to look at daycare options? My sister has offered to provide childcare, but I still need to finalize my new PT schedule after I return from leave and make sure it will work with her schedule. I *thought* I had this figured out, but we're doing some staff changes at my clinic, so it's up in the air right now, which is a little stressful
to schedule your birth/breastfeeding classes? The classes at the hospital don't fit with my current work schedule at all. It's really annoying. We're going to have to do the condensed childbirth course over the weekend, and then I found a private childcare/breast feeding course that is actually cheaper than our hospital's. Haven't signed up yet, though- MH is trying to figure out if his insurance will pay anything for them.
to plan your nursery out? We have our paint and picked out our crib. We'll be using an heirloom rocker and my MIL got us a dresser/changing table, although it's in storage right now. I guess I'd say we have a plan, but the room is still a guest bedroom/storage right now.
to think about baby wearing? Yes! I know what carriers I'm interested in (I want to start with a Moby and a ring sling and then probably add in a mei tai), but I don't own any yet, and so haven't been able to play around and learn how they work.
to decide on breastfeeding vs. formula vs. both options? I am planning on breastfeeding/pumping for at least the first year.
to plan for a natural birth or medicated birth? I know I won't be using pain meds, unless I need a c-section, and would like minimal interventions. I've talked with our MW about this, so we have a rough birth plan in place. I'll probably want to put something in writing closer to the date- nothing overly specific, just a few preferences (like being asked before performing an intervention). We also want to use a doula and should probably get on that...
to look at daycare options? Got it all planned. DD is in daycare right now, so it's just a matter of adding another kiddo onto the bill!
to schedule your birth/breastfeeding classes? Not taking any. I didn't take any birthing classes with DD and it was a great delivery.
to plan your nursery out? Yep! Got the walls painted and the carpet laid, now it's just to fill it up.
to think about baby wearing? The jury is still out. I would like to.
to decide on breastfeeding vs. formula vs. both options? Formula for us. BF'ing didn't work with DD, and my work schedule really doesn't allow me much time or place to even pump.
to plan for a natural birth or medicated birth? Epi all the way! My pain tolerance is not that high.
to look at daycare options? our mom's will be watching LO.
to schedule your birth/breastfeeding classes? Not yet.
to plan your nursery out? Yes. Furniture is ordered, we're ordering carpet this week, and starting to paint sometime this month.

to plan for a natural birth or medicated birth? I'll be a scheduled c-section.
to look at daycare options? No dc needed, I am a SAHM
to schedule your birth/breastfeeding classes? No classes needed, I am a 2nd time mom.
to plan your nursery out? Yes.
to think about baby wearing? Yes, if the baby likes it then I am wearing her in the Moby and Ergo.
to decide on breastfeeding vs. formula vs. both options? Yes. Breastfeeding.
to plan for a natural birth or medicated birth? Natural. My epi sucked last time.

2. No; I'm not sure that I'll be taking them.
3. Yes; we have a lot of the decorations for it already.
4. Yes; I was given a Moby wrap for Christmas and also have a carrier style for when she is bigger.
5. Yes; I'll be breastfeeding if possible.
6. Yes; I'll be delivering naturally with the Bradley method if all goes as planned.

to plan for a natural birth or medicated birth? Natural - well here's hoping - but i'm not adverse to meds if i actually need them.
Cactus Girl!
I think we got married and are due very close to each other's dates!
My wedding was November 13, 2009, and I am due August 4th!! Too funny!
to look at daycare options?
We have selected a home daycare in our neighborhood and are set to have our little one go there when I return to work after 12 weeks of leave. We were so fortunate to find daycare so close to home and to find someone who is willing to be so flexible with my schedule (I'm a nurse).
to schedule your birth/breastfeeding classes?
Planning to attend a breastfeeding class in March sometime. Waiting to hear back from the perinatal education people on which day has openings still.
to plan your nursery out?
New carpet in, walls painted, blinds installed, crib/changing table/storage self assembled, crib bedding on the crib, rocking chair in place...Just waiting for DH to refinish the trim and doors so we can put that back up and then it's mainly just decorations/details to be finished.
to think about baby wearing?
Not sure if this is referring to me wearing the baby or what the baby will be wearing home from the hospital? For the first, I bought a sling from sevenslings.com and hope to use it; DH wants a baby bjorn. For the second one, my friend bought our little guy an outfit to wear home from the hospital.
to decide on breastfeeding vs. formula vs. both options?
Planning to breastfeed and pump for atleast the first 6 months - hoping to have it work for 9 months to a year.
to plan for a natural birth or medicated birth?
Planning for a natural birth but since this is baby #1 I will be open to the idea of an epidural if I need one on that day.
