Never lick a pepper shaker.....

I made a fruit pie this morning (sorry Jeannie, we ended up getting Baskin Robbins last night, lol) and I thought I'd put cinnamon sugar on top. Well, the shaker for it and the pepper are identical. I accidentally put pepper on the pie! I thought it looked funny so I licked it.

Big mistake. Lol

So, I put some tape around my fingers and got as much pepper up as I could. Thankfully I have whip cream to take care of the rest of the pepper taste. ;-)

    Awesome...I once mistakenly used mace instead of nutmeg in my cookies...but I didn't catch it in time.  What type of fruit pie did you make?  Apple?

    Peach! If I make apple pie, it's with hand sliced apples and a family recipe for the mix. I've only ever made it with my grandmother.

    It's actually delicious! I didn't put cream on it at all. I think I got the fast majority of pepper off. If not, it wasn't strong at all. It was when I licked it though. My tongue stung.

    That's hilarious... I've watched DH put salt in his coffee, but I've never added pepper to pie. heheh. I'm glad it still came out okay!
    After two losses, a rainbow arrived! DD born 11.5.11
    Dx with severe Asherman's syndrome after a botched PP D&C (pursuing med mal)
    Hysteroscopy Oct '13, not enough progress 
    Hysteroscopy Jan '14, given an end-of-the-road diagnosis
    Joined International Asherman's Association April '14 
    Not ready to give up yet.
    Hysteroscopy with Dr. Isaacson (an expert in the USA) 6.2.14: Good prognosis, at least 50% of cavity open.
    Repeat hysteroscopy scheduled with Dr. I on 6.16.14. Great progress. Unbenched!!!!
    Discussing actively TTC with DH after the heartache of the last year. We're both reeling.
