I'm in that horrible in-between phase. None of my pants from my first pg fit me yet (I was in my third tri in the winter so everything has the full belly panel) but my regular pants make me look F.A.T. ... if they fit at all. I tried to buy some things this weekend but struck out at Target and ON, and found a few tops at Gap. Uuuugh ... I dread getting up in the morning.
Thanks. Vent over.
Re: Vent: Not out at work, and *nothing* to wear
I'm with you - it's very frustrating time clothes-wise.
I've found that using the full panel pants, folded over seem to work. About 1/2 of my work pants don't fit any more so I've been slowly integrating maternity pants.
Try jersey knit or stretchy a-line skirts. Gap and ON have jersey ones that can be dressed up with knee-high boots and a sweater set. Or try some empire waist dresses. I am wearing a ON maternity wrap dress that hides any hint of a bump (not on purpose, I'm out at work) and it looks really cute. $26.50, can't go wrong.
I know how you feel dreading getting up in the morning. Once I switched to skirts (with maternity tights) I felt like a new woman.
After noticing that my work tops looked oddly short last week, I sucked it up and went to MOtherhood Maternity for some new tops. While I was there, I bought two pairs of work pants as well.
My regular work pants still fit me, but unknown for how much longer.
