Morning Everyone.. Ive been sick with a head cold, chest congestion, cough and sore throat for a few days now. I have a dose of medicine left ( Ive been taking Tylenol Cold. ) I was just wondering if once thats gone since Im not feeling better if I should call my doc and see about what to do from there or just to keep taking some more of that medicine.

I know that Tylenol products are fine and everything.. I just want to make sure that Im doing the best thing for my baby!

My doctor told me there is actually something going around that's like a cold, but won't go away unless you take antibiotics. Great, I know. Just make an appointment with your doctor if it's been longer than a week and you still don't feel better.

How's your breathing? If it's been longer than a week, I'd go in. I had a cold that turned into pneumonia earlier in this pregnancy. Hope you feel better!

I feel your pain! I think I have a sinus infection that has turned into a throat infection thanks to post nasal drip. I did call the doctor 2 weeks ago and after it took them 9 hours to call me back, they told me to take tylenol. It went away for about 2 days then came back, then went away, then came back with a vengeance. I took off work today and am calling the doctors. I am not sure if I should call my OB first or go straight to the GP. Hope you ladies feel better soon!

I totally feel your pain. I have been sick off and on since the beginning of January with similar symptoms. I have an OB appointment tomorrow and plan to share this with them. The cough is starting to hurt and my head / ears are all clogged and congested. Ugh. I just want to feel better!! Hope you feel better soon too!

I had a "cold" that was going into 3 weeks. I told my Dr. That I think it had turned into a sinus infection. He gave me a script for Amox and it helped so much. I hope you feel better.

Yep, I got the crud that was going around from my husband. I suffered for a week before I finally broke down and went to the GP. He gave me a Rx for Zithromax (a Z-Pac), which was on my OB's approved meds list. I didn't want to take the meds, but now I'm glad I did. I was putting my body under a lot of stress from the sleepless nights, the coughing, etc.

Thanks guys! I think that I will just go ahead and take this last dose and see if I feel any better at all and then call the doc and see what they have to say!

I have had a cold since last sunday and ended up in the ER because my doc couldn't see me and an urgent care wouldn't see me. The ER doc basically told me I had a cold. He gave me a script for Z pak but told me not to take unless it turned to an infection. I am finaly feeling better after a week!!

I have been sick for 2 and half weeks. I took the tylenol cold, I was put on antibiotics the first week. I am still suffering with this cough. I loose my voice partially almost every day. I am congested real bad and now I have a rattle sound in my chest. I hate it. I can't wait for it to go away. I am supposed to have another appointment on Wednesday, but I am guessing it will probably be cancelled because of this snow storm coming.
