Success after IF

Baby is still wheezing....:(

I'm feeling like I did back when he was first born as far as lack of sleep for me. I'm sure you can all imagine trying to sleep while listening to your baby wheezes. Not really possible.

Thankfully, he is sounding better than he did before but he isn't out of the woods yet.

On top of it all, it suppose to be in the teens today and struggle to get to 0 degrees tomorrow. We will be staying inside for the next few days.

  • Poor little guy. It is never easy when they are sick. We are basically going to be stuck inside due to cold/snow for the next few days so I feel your pain!! If it helps, Hayden was about your LO's age last winter and he was sick quite a bit (we even had a severe cold/cough that lasted for 3 weeks!!) This winter, he has hardly been sick at all. We have had 1 or 2 mild colds and that is it. Hopefully he will get some good immunity built up this winter and will make next winter easier.

  • oh no :(  poor little guy!!  is he on breathing treatments or anything?  the wheezing would scare the crap out of me!!
  • Poor mama and baby!  Jude had RSV when he was 9 months and had to be hospitalized the wheezing got so bad.  Do you have a nebulizer to help with relaxing the airways?  It really helps out sometimes.  If the wheezing continues, I would call the doc and get his oxygen saturation levels checked just to be sure they are still in the 90s.  I'm sure everything is fine and I totally do not want to make you panic but Jude was wheezing for a week back when he had RSV andhis oxygen sats were in the 90s in the beginning. Once  he had been battling it for a week straight and his little lungs just got exhausted and they dipped into the low 80s.  From now on if the wheezing continues for a couple of days, I continue to take him in to the nurse to get the oxygen sats monitored quick every couple days until the wheezing is gone just for my own peace of mind.  Hope it ends soon- that's the worst sound in the world for a mama to hear!!
