I've lost eight pounds in a month. I've got the weight to spare, it just seems unusual to be losing weight without trying to. Probably since I used to try all the time with little success! I have had decent m/s, but I don't think I've had enough to be losing weight.
Re: Anyone else losing weight?
I am not losing but I am not gaining. Of course I am about 3 - 5 lbs heavier at the end of the day however, each morning when I step on the scale, I weight the same that I did before finding out I was pregnant!
I am hoping to keep this up and not gain the 42 lbs I did with DD! It all came off and then some but I was a bit out of control
.
When the doc asked what my starting weight was... it was 3 lbs lower than what I weighted in at my 10 week appt. so in theory I am up 3 but that is with clothes and after breakfast and coffee.... it is all relative
The 8 I am down is according to my Dr.'s scale, with breakfast and clothes, etc... She said not to worry for now and that we would see what it is at my next appt. That made me feel better, but it's still there in the back of my mind.
In the first 6-7 weeks of being pg, I lost 6 lbs because I was so sick. I've gained most of it back now, so I'm essentially starting my second tri next week at my starting weight.
It's nervewracking, but my doctor said it was okay as long as I begin gaining a lb a week in my second tri since I have a healthy BMI.
I had my nurse's appointment last week. She said not to worry about weight gain and lose at this point. That my body is changing like crazy everyday and lose and gain are both normal. As long as it is nothing drastic it's nothing to worry about at this point.
I gained 12 lbs by week 7/8. But I haven't gained anymore since. I swear 6 of those lbs are in my boobs, 3 lbs each. LOL
Seriously though, I told the nurse and she agreed that the quick weight gain I had is from all the carbs I eating. Last week was the first time in a while I could start to eat veggies and things again. For awhile the only thing that I could get down was mac & cheese and mashed potatoes and things like that - which is NOT my usual diet at all.
I'm down about 12 lbs so far, but I also have the weight to spare.
Last time, I was down 25lbs from my pre-preg weight at my final appointment. My doctors werent worried at all, and I was quite happy being that much lighter at the end.
