any recs? also, how much do you pay for full time care for an 18 month old and what do you like about your daycare?

We use Rainbow Academy in Rutherford. DD really likes it. The staff is friendly and seem to know what they're doing. We haven't had any real problems since she started when she was 5 months old. There were some occasions where they didn't follow her schedule exactly the way I wanted when she was an infant, but nothing major. Since she's become a toddler it's been much easier. And most importantly, I trust them and DD really looks forward to going. She's bonded with the staff members and other kids.

We pay about $1300 per month for full time care. I've heard that it may be slightly more expensive than some other places, but it's also bigger and has more to offer than some others I've seen. And they are open until 6:30pm. Most of the other places I saw close at 6. The extra 30 minutes was important to us since we both commute and the traffic is sooo unpredictable! We also just enrolled her in the hot lunch program, which is an extra $70 per month. And we pay another $25 per month for video, so we can look in on her using our computers at work. Totally worth it, for us.

Hi Megan, I too am looking into day care options and live in Rutherford. Have you had any luck? I want to check into Rainbow Academy and the Montessori school, but wondering if there are other good options to choose from.
