Trying to Get Pregnant

If you see CM on your underwear, does that mean you are fertile that day?

I started charting my cycles two months ago.  The calendar says I am most fertile on Wednesday, however, today I had lots of CM on my underwear (sorry, TMI!)  Just wondering if it is a sign that I am really fertile?  TIA :)

  • Our bodies produce different types of CM. EWCM is considered most fertile, and second most fertile is watery. So it depends on what type of CM it is.

  • The calendar means nothing. If you have nothing else to go by (OPKs, etc) then definitely time sex around your CM.

    LOVE your boston terrior!!

  • I doubt you are really charting.  Charting is taking your temps at the same time every day in addition to keeping track of your CM.   What you are doing is following a random calendar that is meaningless.

Confused Wow, just wow.  Oh and thank you for clarifying what charting is.....since you KNOW I am not doing any of those things.  FYI I am taking my basal temperature and obviously keeping track of CM.....read my subject line.

I was wondering the same thing.... Im NOT charting- I use OPK's and still got a negative today- but had lots of CM- the slippery kind, which is suppossed to be the baby making kind- Im sticking to the motto "when in doubt hump it out" so i suggest the same for you. Good Luck!

umm.. I don't think she was trying to be rude. Have you read Taking Charge of your Fertility? No, just because you have CM on your undies does not make you fertile. Watery or eggwhite is fertile CM. Sticky or creamy could also be on your undies and it is not fertile CM...

    Edit- wrong word

Well, if you want to get technical, as long as you are recording something (in this case, her CM) and setting it up so that you can see its relation to something else, you're charting.

I wouldn't say that she's not "really charting" just because she's not temping (which maybe she is, we don't know).

Well, you seem pretty clueless for someone who has been charting for 2 months.  I was only working with the information you provided in your OP.  ::shrugs::

Maybe it would help to know what calendar you are referring to.

What does it mean when you are only recording what is on your underwear? ;)
