Nesting?

It's been cold the last few weeks, but warmed up to the 70's this weekend.

So far we've:

  • washed the dog
  • washed every curtain in our house and rehung
  • took the couch cushion covers off and washed them (they are drying)
  • swept the entire house
  • set up the crib
  • cleaned out the nursery of everything that isn't for baby girl
  • put new sheets on our bed

I think it has more to do with the nice weather, but I am so glad to have so much done. One more thing on my list tongiht: dust- I hate dusting! Wish me luck.

    Wow you've been super productive! I feel like I'm far less tired now than before so I get things done but it's so cold here that I haven't done as much as I wOuld like to. We have 30 inches of snow that has buried our Christmas decorations... Really need to get to those soon.

    I hear ya! We have been busy this weekend too, we are in Dallas and are loving this gorgeous weather... too bad it isn't planning on staying this nice for long :(

    I'm in Fort Worth. I'm a teacher. I am praying for a snow day on Tuesday, but DH dashed all hopes when he reminded me that because it's been so warm, nothing will stick to the ground Crying I want an unplanned day off!!

    This was me last weekend.  I cleaned all the baseboards in the house, poop scooped outside.  Cleaned all the light fuxtures, etc.  This weekend since it was so nice again (I am in NW Louisiana), I spent all day Saturday out shopping.   I do think that all the cleaning is a mix of nesting and the weather being nicer.  Its pretty yucky today though!

    Good luck with the dusting, I hate it as well.


    His three plus my one; we are all excited to welcome a little one!

    Elisbu, there may not be a snow day but the overpasses could still freeze?? Maybe? I just love Ft. Worth :)

    I wish I could 'deep-clean' our house.  We are ordering our new floors tomorrow so we are sort of at a stand still and won't be able to do anything until they are done.  As part of my Christmas gift though, DH is getting me a cleaning lady (temporary) for after the floors are put in so that I am not dusting like crazy after the mess!

    I did some serious nesting today!  It was 65 degrees here today and AMAZING!  For some reason I always want to clean when the weather is nice.  I like to open all the windows and doors and get some fresh air circulating!

    I am to the point now where I can't just sit around and not be cleaning anything during the day.  We used to love just lounging around on Sunday afternoons, but I just can't do it anymore - I HAVE to be cleaning something!  It is totally weird for me!

    I hate dusting, too... like nothing else! 

    Way to go on the to-do list!  We actually got so clean this weekend we VACUUMED the couch! :)

    This is where we are at now except DH and his friend are doing them.  This is the 3rd weekend they have been working on them and my house is a WRECK.  I know it will be worth it in the end but there is stuff everywhere and no cleaning can be done till stuff is back to normal.  Thank goodness your DH is getting a cleaning person for you I am not looking forward to cleaning the mess just the finished product.

    uggghh i am so jealous--70 degress and sunny.  I don't even remember what that is like.  We have had a total of 4 sunny days this month and over the next 2 days are suppose to get up to 20 inched of snow :(

    Good for you getting things done though.

    I'm from Syracuse where it has been all snow for months! Nesting just kicked in, which is great for the house, terrible for my sciatica! I have been overworking myself to the point of pain but... all worth it for a clean bedroom and a work-in-progress nursery!! Jealous of you all with the beautiful weather ;-)

    This weekend was all about cleaning!  (second weekend in a row!) We rearranged the nursery adding in the crib and changing table and nixing the toys that were left over from it being DDs playroom! Re-hung the pantry door that fell down back in October. Changed the kitchen lights that went out last week. vacuumed the ENTIRE house. Cleaned the kitchen and living room of all clutter.  Now just have to conquer our bedroom and the left over laundry.  Last weekend we concentrated on moving most of DDs toys to her room  and cleaning up that end of the house (her bathroom, hall and laundry room).  Feels good to have a clean house!!
