Bob Stroller + adaptor- need another stroller?

So we decided on our stroller today after trying some out at the store- we *love* the Bob revolution!

Here's my question- I originally was going to get the snap & go plus the Bob, but there's an infant carseat adaptor for the Bob, and now I'm thinking maybe I don't need the snap & go?.  I know it might be slightly easier to get in and out of the car with the snap & go, but to be honest we're in a city and most places we'll be going with baby we'll walk to.  We'll also have an ergo carrier if need be.  Our house is small and I'm thinking storing two strollers could be a lot of space...

What do you think?

  • Hrm -- an interesting question.  You could solely use your BOB.

If you're in the city, you're going to find that the BOB is BIG and hard to get into stores and restaurants. And hard to fold and get out of the way. You'll get the stink eye from many a store owner and patron.

The Snap n Go is great for: going anywhere in the car,  FLYING (so easy to check at the end of the gangway), and shopping when you need to put lots of things in the undercarriage basket (the basket on the BOB is a joke).

  • Loading the player...
  • Also, isn't the front wheel fixed making it harder to use (except when running)?

We are planning on getting the snap and go and then getting a BOB later. You cannot run with your child in it until they are 6 months (I think) even with the car seat adapter. If I remember correctly they can easily tip over?

  • I would just go with the BOB. I unfortunately have to get both the snap n go and the BOB, because the BOB will not accommodate two car seats. If it could there is no way I would purchase both. We are getting the Revolution as well (the duallie mode) and I believe that the wheel on the revolution is not fixed. It has a latch so that you can choose to have it pivot or stay fixed. You can get the attachment bar for 40 ish bucks on amazon. Go that route and save money!

  • Thanks everyone!  Also, as was mentioned- the Revolution has a wheel that can be fixed or can swivel.  I don't think we'll be using it for any jogging until the baby is at least a year old anyway.

  • We are going with the Baby Jogger Summit XC.  It's very similar to the BOB Revolution, but has a hand brake and the same amazing fold as the City Mini.  Same price too.

We are skipping the adapter bar and snap and go phase and instead using an Ergo. As of now, we're planning to skip the infant bucket car seat, so this works best for us.

  • We used just the BOB revolution with our first daughter. We used it everywhere we went without any major issues of size or space. We used with the car seat adaptor initially. The front wheel can swivel or be fixed. The shocks on it are great, especially living in a city. We have lots of cobblestone sidewalks and she never noticed all the bouncing. I highly recommend it.
  • We are planning to get the Bob Revolution as well with the car seat adapter... have heard great things about it!!  Though I have gotten advice about it being kind of bulky when shopping, etc, so we will register for a $70 snap and go as well.... seems like the best of both worlds to me! :)
