Started my registry today

Wow, is that exhausting!  When I sat down to try out gliders I was dying to take a power nap!  I feel like the BRU that we went to had no selection for little boys when it came to the small stuff (burp clothes, swaddles, bibs, hooded towels).  Oh well, hopefully better luck next time!

 When the BRU employee was explaining everything to DH and I, there was another girl there with her mother.  The mother was such a one-upper!!!  They asked me what I am having, I answered a boy.  The mother says "We are not finding out, we are one of the few patient people left in the world."  I said around 35 people will be at my baby shower, she says "We have tons of family and friends, so there will be around 90 at our shower!".  Wow, good thing you have so many family and friends because I am SURE you will need someone to vent to about your overbearing mother at some point in the near future!!!!

    We started today too. We just did big stuff- I didn't want to overwhelm DH or I may never get him back in that store! There were some weirdos at our store too- a few 16 and pregnant contestants for sure. Now I'm researching at such. I think I may register at Target for the little stuff...hhmm..

    That's great that you got things started. We are going tuesday night, can't wait. That woman sounds like quite a peach-lol.

    That woman sounds obnoxious. Congrats on the registry; we did ours yesterday, too, and it's nice to have it up!

    lol, We went yesterday too.  We went to BRU first and spent about 3 hours there.  I thought FI would be bored with it, but I think he may have had more fun going through all the little boy stuff than I did.  We had pizza afterward, and as we were finishing up he said, "So, ready to hit Target and do another one?" with a big grin on his face.
