S/o of sleep - baby nightmares

My baby just had a nightmare while I was holding him waiting for him to fall into deep sleep. He woke suddenly shuddering. Poor thing. I'm glad I was right here and he calmed right away. I wonder what he could have been dreaming about at this point?

    Maybe he dreamt the boobies went dry. I don't know. My son used to get that to when he was an infant, and to be honest he still has night terrors. Poor guy, it's sad to see them having nightmares at this age! And I agree- what are they really dreaming about? Dreams come from things you saw and did throughout the day.

    That's so strange.  I wonder if he could have been dreaming about something like a feeling of insecurity rather than something specific.  Poor little guy.  Glad you were there to calm him right away!
