I've posted before about not being able to pick any girl names. We have, however, picked two boy names: Samuel and Rowan. Apparently Rowan is also a girl's name, though I've never met a girl with that name (that's a plus in my book, btw). So, WDYT about it?
Some ideas:
Rowan Marie (my mom's name)
Rowan Camille (my middle name)
Rowan Virginia (my great-granny's name)
Rowan Claire (nobody in particular)

There is a nestie on D&R that named her baby Rowan. It is very fitting for her. It's a nice name.
I like Rowan Marie in you have a good relationship with your mom. It would be a nice way to honor her.
We'll miss you sweet Debbie Girl (4.21.12) and sweet Cindy Girl (8.9.12)

My DH originally picked Rowan in honor of Rowan Williams, the Archbishop of Canterbury, an all-around awesome human (who will be marrying Prince William & Kate M, btw) so I'd probably leave it unchanged.
Thanks for the input!
My sister was going to name her son Rowan... All I can think of is "Rowan a boat."
I love Rowan for a girl. I never knew it was common for boys. My favorite of those is Rowan Marie.

Rowan is my middle name! It's a family name, and it's not very common, but I like it ha ha. My OBGYN named her daughter Rowan. I like names that are a little different though.
3 more miscarriages and finally a correct diagnosis (septate uterus) and a corrective uterine surgery later, our second blessing is here!
