while we're on the subject of mp's

is it possible to make progress without losing your MP?  I've been getting some cramping, contractions (although not steady) and some tightening in my stomach but haven't lost the ol' mp.  sometimes i feel like i'm making progress, while other times i feel like this girlie is setting up camp in there for the long hall :)

  • Some people don't lose it til they are in active labor, or about to push. Or it comes out with baby. Totally normal to never see it!

  • I'm 1 cm dilated (not very much I know) but 70% effaced and I haven't noticed losing mine yet.  I'm still not taking any more baths though, just in case.  Only showers.

    This.

I would not stress about not seeing it.

At the risk of sounding totally clueless, I didn't know it wasnt a good idea to take baths after MP is gone... But it does make sense. I love my baths! it helps my back feel better. Should I stop taking them?
