When to tell?

We've now told family & close friends. And now already, I don't think there's any hiding it any longer...I've got a bump.  I'm completely surprised that it's really more than just my usual fat & bloat because it's so early still...but considering it's my 3rd pg, I guess this is to be expected when you're short & old?!  And because of this, I ended up telling the praise & worship band this morning.

So...I'm considering just coming out with it on FB...but at the same time, I'm still so freakin' nervous (I haven't had an u/s yet).

    I wouldn't bother if you're nervous.  You'll have an u/s soon right?  FB is totally different than telling friends and family since some of those people you might not normally rush out to tell.  That is the reasoning our one friends used and I thought it was reasonable.

    Yeah... I'm having an u/s in a few weeks (Feb. 17th).  I guess I'll just wait until then.

    I'd wait till after the ultrasound. But we waited to tell even our family till after that, which was like 12-13 weeks, so I may be in the minority.

    I'm now 11 weeks and almost know one knows.  I had a dating u/s at 8 weeks and everything looked good but I want to wait until after my apt on the 5th which I will be about 13 weeks to tell ppl.  I had a m/c in augs so I'm a little worried.

    I don't think I said anything about it on fb until 22ish weeks?  lol (Not that everyone close didn't already now, obviously lol)

    My cousin announced on fb at like 8 weeks.

    Whatever you are comfortable with.

    We told our best friends at 8 weeks, and his family, too. I didn't tell my family and fb until about 15 weeks [hahahaha!!] because I didn't want to steal the spotlight from my little sister's wedding. which was when I was about 14 weeks.

    I told FB and Family around 8 weeks, with DD 2. I wanted to wait to tell FB but I bought this real cute shirt that said, This Easter chic has a secret, I posted the photo so my aunts ect in CT could see because I knew my mom would spill it to them. I waited till 13 wks for DD 1 though.

    We waited till around 13 weeks with Addison. This time we just told everyone pretty quickly. I don't know why but I didn't care about waiting this time. After trying for almost a year I just couldn't keep it a secret, I think. Plus everyone knew about my appt w/ the specialist and them asking questions and such about it I didn't wanna have to keep lying, I'm a horrible liar... 

     

    I think it's all what YOU are comfy with, though, mama! :)
