I'm the worlds worst mommy today :(

I woke up at 6:15 to realize panicked that i hadn't heard Eli all night.  Took one glance at the baby monitor...(I take it off the cradle and sleep with it right next to my head) and saw that it had apparently died in the middle of the night!  i jump out of bed, put on cradle turn on and  hear Eli very tired sounding crying.  I run down stairs to see him unswaddled, rotated 180 degrees, and head in other corner of crib.  He had been crying so long his little eyes are puffy.  I feel like THE WORST mommy in the whole world today :(

1 chemical and 1 loss at 9 weeks prior to DS
IVF #1 1/10-transfered 2 blasts- DS born 10/2010

Trying for # 2 since 2012.  2 failed FETS 1 failed IUI.
IUI#2 4/14/14-- BFP !!!!! Beta #1 14dpiui= 45 Beta #2 16dpiui= 80  Beta #3 18dpiui= 88 (chemical pregnancy)
March 2015- Chemical pg

1/25/16- BFP  Beta1 12dpo = 17, Beta 2 14 dpo = 28.. resulted in one beautiful boy born 9/21/16 :)

Now I'm a stay at home loving life and pursuing my love of photography!!!

    Don't beat yourself up.  These things happen.  It sounds like he's fine, but tired.

    He's fine!! I know how you feel though, DH turned off the monitor one time in his sleep and when I woke up and realized it, DS was sobbing in his crib. Hugs!!!

     thanks ladies. he was sleepy after last night.    I'm on the couch with him now.  I changed his diaper, gave him a bottle, and then he fell asleep laying on my chest..and here we are.  but i still feel bad for my poor little man...i think he's getting extra special attention today

    Aw! I'd feel bad too, but it wasn't your fault. He's already forgotten all about it!

    Poor mommy! I'm sure he's just fine, but it breaks your heart just the same. We had a similar incident when Luke was around 12-13 weeks old. It made my stomach hurt all day. You're doing great. Have fun snuggling your baby.

    Don't be hard on yourself.  These things happen.  He's going to be fine.

    You are not the worst mommy!  Something similar happened to us one night, the monitor was on the lowest setting, and it fell into a chair so that the sound was completely muffled.  Benjamin was SCREAMING and we didn't hear.  My mom was with us, closer to Benjamin's room, and heard him after 30+ minutes and brought him to me... I felt terrible, too, but he seemed fine.  

    Eli might be extra-tired and need some more nap, but he will be ok.  Just give him some extra snuggles today.

    Aw, don't be too hard on yourself. We've all been there. There have been a couple of times after particularly bad nights of sleep that I've had the monitor on right next to me and haven't heard DD. I've woken up in a panic to her screaming, not knowing how long she'd been awake. The good news is, she forgets every time :)

    oh honey!!! i'm sorry, this must be so upsetting. i'd be freaking out too, but try to remember that out LOs are often more resilient than we give them credit for. i'm sure with a little cuddling he'll be totally recovered!

    Thanks ladies.  I felt totally horrible....but he's napped for a few hours then played for a couple hours and is back to napping with his daddy.  I think he's over it :)  Thank goodness for their short memories!

    Don't feel bad, it was an honest mistake and we've all been there. If anything, you're a wonderful mom for feeling like the worst mom :)
