Irritated with what I just saw...

Well I would say a little more than irritated!! Ugh....

On my way home today at the stop light, the SUV that pulled up next to me consisted of 2 adults that were smoking in the front seats with the windows barely cracked and a toddler in the back seat watching a movie!!! Are you frickin kidding me people....Whatever if you smoke but dont do it around the kid especially when the poor thing cant do anything about it!!

It seriously made me feel sick to my stomach!

That's disgusting. I cannot stand it when people smoke around children. I actually yelled at someone for smoking in an elevator with me while I was pregnant (actually I probably would have yelled at him even if I weren't, since I don't appreciate being in a small, closed box inhaling other people's second hand smoke).

I used to work in a restaurant where people would bring their children of all ages and light up right next to them. Anytime they asked for a high chair or sling for the bar it made me sick.

A few years ago my state (NC) starting talking about banning cigarette smoking in a car if a child were present. I'm not exactly sure why it was never pursued but I get so mad seeing someone smoking in their car with a LO in the back. I hate the smell with a passion.

I would have been so pissed! I hate when I see shiit like that. Parents of the year for ruining their children's health before they even have a chance to make decisions for themselves.

I seriously don't care whether someone smokes or not, whatever, it's your lungs. BUT to smoke in front of your LO, and in a vehicle or in another type of enclosed area, well, you're just trash. Get a freaking clue.

People like that make the bitter infertile in me want to go on a rampage Angry

There may be others but I am glad I live in one of the two states (Louisiana and Arkansas) that I know has a law against smoking in a car carrying young children.

My little sister used to smoke (for years) but she called us on Christmas Even to let us know that she had quit in October (she was waiting to see if she would be able to make it). She said that DS is the reason she quit. She felt guilty being around him after smoking. One of the best Christmas presents ever!

This exactly, I'm not sure about PA but I know in NJ they made it a law, ans some jackarse women tried to fight it. She said she can do what she wants around her children or something. Ah no you can't, that's why they make laws for idiots like her.

i wish ohio would jump on board too. once when i was getting off the freeway, i saw something similar. mom smoking in car, window cracked, 3 or 4 year old in back seat...not only NOT in a car/booster seat...but NOT even wearing a seat belt.

i yelled at her to get het attention...and said not only is it illegal and completely undafe for her child not to be in a car/booster seat or wearing a seat belt...but she was completely disgusting for smoking with her childs innocent lungs suffering and then i called the police fir that city to report that the child was not restrained properly and gave them the license plate # and color of car

It's illegal here to smoke in your car if you have passengers under 16. I know someone who was actually busted for it, too.

I'm with you on this one, OP. It makes me feel sick.
