Davez has a childhood friend, "W" who he still enjoys dinking around doing "guy stuff" with each season. W and his wife invited us up north today to go sledding (that's riding on snowmobiles, for you non-snowbabes) and although I would have loved a day outside and feeling the breeze in my hair (thru the helmut, lol) I just didn't feel like dealing with my nutty parents and begging them to watch Ava all day (they live up north 2 hours each way) and knew I would be a PITA on the back of Davez's sled, and tooooooooo distracted to drive my own. (damn hormones)

So I passed, but sent Davez on his way. They ride groomed snow trails most of the day, and have done this for years and years, I really was not worried.

Yeh, he just called on his drive home. W's wife hit a tree, wrecked her sled, D was riding behind her and saw her go flying and tried to help her as she lay there unconscious for about 30 seconds, then was "goofy" for another few minutes. (W was way ahead, typical for that dork) They ended up having his parents bring her to the small town ER, she checked out ok, and once settled on his parent's couch, he said "Let's go, Davez" and they went out for another 5 hours, including a stop for burgers and beer. lol. He played pull tabs to try to make up the money to fix the sled. ha!

Not only would I 'prolly have HIT that tree along with her, and/or been a hot mess over her accident. I'm so glad I was not there. NOT what I can take on right now. lol. That poor girl is going to HURT in the morning, but I'm so glad she's ok!

Yah, sounds like it was a good idea to stay home! I hope she isn't too hurt tomorrow. "Sledding" sounds fun!

Oy, she's lucky she wasn't hurt any more than she was! And I'm jealous of the sledding! I'm missing home a little bit (Iowa). It's still weird to me to have 75 degree weather in January!
