WOW! What a whirl wind.
My water broke around 4 on Tuesday (I was 35 weeks and 1 day), and I was at the hospital a little after 5. I thought it would be awhile since I wasn't having contractions and wasn't dialated much. Well my blood work came back and things went fast from there.
The Dr was explaining I had developed severe Pre-e (I was at the Dr the day before and at the hospital a few hours before for monitoring and had no signs), and my plattlettes were at 63. She said the only thing to cure it was a C-section since we couldn't wait for me to start having contractions. I was thinking, OK I would have a C-section in the morning, that was until she said that my plattlettes would be arriving in twenty minutes- thats when it hit me, I would be having these babies within the hour, at this point it was after 8.
A plattlette transfusion, a C section and a day of Mag (WOW, it's as bad as they say) I am home with baby A. Alexis Nicole was born 5 7, and James Michael 6 6. He is having some breathing issues, it's kind of a long story but I think the machines at the first hospital weren't working. He is now tranferred to a level three and although on the same machines doing great. When he arrived there they had in on 40% oxogen (Thursday), and they are already trying him on 21%. I know it goes up and down but all are really happy with his recovery so far.
Thank you all for everything so far and I know I am going to need more help from you ladies then ever. Lexi can hardly swallow what she sucks (I think if I delivered where her brother is she would not have been discharged), and she will not sleep on her own, without crying every two minutes then being calm for two minutes and then crying. Its been trying more then once, but luckily I have an army of people helping me and a very supportive husband!

Congratulations!!! Those are some great weights!!
My boys were born at 35w1d and also did not have their sucking/swallowing down pat when we left the hospital. It took about a week for them to sorta get it and 2 weeks for them to really get it. I stressed out every day over their feedings, but in the end they were fine, even if some feedings were disasters. So I just wanted to encourage you.
Oh and skin-to-skin style feedings (we did this w/ bottles) seemed to help my guys.
