Decreased movement.....

Hi everyone....I was just curious if anyone else is experiencing a decrease in movement or did prior to delivery? I am not due for a few more weeks but just curious. Thanks!

Re: Decreased movement.....

  • I have, but I think LO has just run out of room. He still has some powerful kicks here and there just to let me know he is OK still.

  • I wouldnt say there has been a real decrease in movement, just a different kind of movement. She sems to only shimmy herself from one side to the other or give a few stretches here and there these days, no more punches and jabs like before. But she deffinitely still moves.

  • I can only feel her really huge movements now, like when she tries to stretch out. It's not really decreased movements, it's less ability to move.

  • I've had what I would classify as decreased movement since 26 weeks he doesn't move very much and it constantly has me worried, yesterday was the first time since 26 weeks that I didn't have to pay attention to my belly to be sure that I got my kick counts.

  • Most of the movements I feel (like the one while I'm typing this) are stretches. She stretches a lot, so I know she's okay, but I can't feel her smaller movements anymore. Sometimes I miss those, the stretching can be uncomfortable!

  • Yes, I'm definitely feeling decreased movement.  I know it's just because he has less room, but it can really stress me out sometimes when it goes a long time without feeling him.  Normally around the time I'm about to say something about being worried to DH he gives me a 1-2 punch to let me know he's fine. :)

  • Yeah stretching and the occassional rolling more so than kicks.  My stomach looks insane during the stretching.  She'll stretch and then stay in that position with my stomach all lopsided.  Poor girl needs more room!

  • Not me.  My OB said if I were to feel decreased movement to go to the hospital immediately so they can hook me up and make sure everything is okay with baby.  She said that just because their is less room in there does not mean I should feel the baby any less and not to believe internet sites that say any differently.
