Hey everyone! Ok... so working full-time, parenting 5 children, and being pregnant is exhausting!!! I know I'm never around anymore, but I promise I lurk as often as I can. I'm mostly on Facebook if I'm anywhere!! I think about you ladies, and your LO's.

I agree, everyone's going to think handbag. I like Elizabeth though. And your dd's name is cute! What kind of name style are you looking for? I wouldn't post on baby names, they don't seem to be used to the diverse names that our location has.

Heya! Congrats on girl #2!!

I gotta agree with everyone else- when I saw it, I immediately thought of my (knock off) handbag I have tucked away somewhere. I actually like the name though.

My first thought was shoes... remember this bit from Legally Blonde?

Enrique Salvatore: Don't stomp your little last season Prada shoes at me, honey.
Elle: These aren't last season!

But otherwise, I think the meaning behind the name is lovely and it's not crazy weird or anything. If YOU are fine with knowing people will comment, then go for it.

Yeah, that was my first reason to pass on the name. It was suggested before Priya was born and I HATED it. But it has really started to grow on me.

All of our children (5 to date) are P's. DH started it with the older four (that I didn't name) and I didn't want Priya to feel "different" so I kept it up - I SO never thought that I'd be that mom with a theme for her children. Also, most of our children have "odd" names - at least here in North America. I have: Prince Jr, Prinex, Princess, Peter, and Priya so I'm already used to people giving me the weird looks.

Thanks for the input!! I know people will think of the brand name, but hopefully it's not as bad as Blanket or Apple

ROFL, awesome!! Blanket! Yeah, that had me giggling. Honestly, Prada fits with your other dk's, and I see where the name thing is going. Going outside of that would be as weird as calling her Bob, it wouldn't fit!

I voted stupid, sorry. Especially b/c everyone will think it's b/c of the fashion label and your poor LO will have to explain the name every single time. I wouldn't do that to her/him

But I love the name Elizabeth! How about Ada Elizabeth?

YES!!!!!! Oh, that line cracks me up every time! It's what triggers Elle's brain to save the day!

Prada...I really like the name. But it's a good name...a very fashion forward man named Mario Prada deemed it label-worthy.

Even if you can get past the constant label remarks [This is my daughter, Prada. - Like, the shoe/designer/etc?] it still a little too Bennifer or Brangelina for my personal taste.

However, if you love it - go for it! What do our opinions matter anyway
