Parenting after 35

My very first and FFFC

Whether its my LO or others; whether they're 10 months or 10 years; I hate hearing kids whine.  Something about that high pitch sound of a whining kid really bothers me.  Crying doesn't bother me.  As a matter of fact, when I hear other kids cry, my mother instict goes in gear and I'll look around to see if I see any kids in distress.

{I'm sorry Thomas, mommy still loves you}

  • That is on the top of my list too. No flames here.

    My DH is a whiner (especially when he is sick). He doesn't think he is, but he is. I don't want him to teach it to Sydney... not that kids need any help learning it. I hate the high pitched whine too. That's the worst!

  • So true.

    My comment to Matt is always "No one thinks your whine is cute."

  • No flames here. I feel the same way.
  • Can't stand whining. Sienna better learn that too. Another thing I can't stand is kids who screech. You know that high pitch scream. When your LO does it the 1st few times it's cute to hear their excitement. But when kids 4 years up have those ear peircing screams that hurt your eardrums & theer parents ignore it, it makes you want to yell at them yourself. (all 3 of my brothers kids)
