So I just finished packing up what I can for my hospital bag. While I was doing this I was thinking to myself just how different this pregnancy has been and (hopefully) how much different the labor experience is going to be. At 36w6d pregnant with DD1, DH and I went to what we thought was going to be a "normal" check up. Well, my OB checked my fluid levels (since I'd been having issues with it) and said "You're having a baby today!" There was no time to prepare, I was to go straight to L&D and get the Pitocin started ASAP. DH had to go home and pack bags and hopefully get back before the labor started. We were such nervous wrecks!
Anyway, I made it my goal to be ready for DD2's arrival by 36w6d. I just finished packing up everything except for the things I'll be using daily until she decides to show up, and I'm sure the bags will sit untouched for a week or so more, but at least I feel ready. I've gotten a few crafts and such done that needed to be done and the car seat is installed. Dare I say, I think we're ready. I even filled out our L&D pre-registration paperwork and put it in an envelope to be mailed in once I call them to make sure I'm doing it correctly.
It's just way different this time around and I'm enjoying it. That's all. Thanks for letting me share ![]()
