Dilation/cervix question

Potentially dumb question here, but I really don't know....

 If something is going on with your cervix, can you feel it? When I was charting and TTC, I would check my cervix and it was easy to feel/find. Now I either can't reach it or can't distinguish it from the rest of the tissue in there. Does that just mean its super high and not a damn thing is going on???

    From what I understand it gets higher/out of reach but doesn't mean that there isn't anything happening.

    My dr had a hard time getting to it yesterday. I'm pretty sure the words "where is your cervix?!" freaked me out a little. But eventually she found it, I guess it's just really high. But I am dilated almost 2 cm and 50% effaced so there's definitely something going on with it.

    It hides nice and high while pregnant. Try sitting on the toilet to try to reach it (clean hands though). Wink

    Also, try pushing down from the top of your belly while you search for your cervix. It pushes the baby's head down, which lowers the cervix just a tad bit more so you can find it easier.

    If I were to search for mine, I'd find it because there's a huge bulging bag of waters sticking out!
