First week of daycare - semi success

I enjoyed my first week back at work and daycare seems to be going really well. The only thing is, she got her first cold already! It started on Wednesday night. I knew it was bound to happen, especially being in a center, but I still feel bad for her and can't believe how fast it happened. I keep telling myself she is well on her way to building up a great immune system. I also told myself that when she got her first cold that I wouldn't be a paranoid new mom about it, but I already ended up taking her to the pediatrician today to confirm it was just a cold.

  • Poor thing!  I did the same thing when Keira got her first cold.  Don't feel bad!
  • Congrats on getting through your first week, those are always the hardest.  A first cold can be overwhelming, she will be okay and both of you will get through this.  Good luck on your second week

  • Yep, we use Lil Noses Saline Drops, Nosefrida, and Boogie Wipes.  As well, I have used a cool mist humidifier as well.  That helped us get through September when baby first started daycare as well as December when it was snowing and more cold.

Oooo good tips with the Boogie Wipes. I just went out and bought some. Thanks!
